This was a replacement for a Calphalon 5 qt saute pan that was 20 years old that still worked but didn't heat evenly anymore. Heats easily and evenly. Very easy to saute sauces, rice and/or brown meat. Easy to transfer to oven to finish. Cleans quickly with soapy dishwater in the sink; I do not put my pans in dishwasher. I like this big pan because you can cook faster , reason being that is so big that food can be spread out sou so much and don’t need all the heat on bottom. One BIG complaint is that the covers handle is not covered with heat resistance material as the side handle is not either and gets soooo hot. OUCH ... show more

Good size for larger dishes or one skillet meals. Non-stick is excellent, but without the chemicals of teflon. Very durable so far, but I only use silicone utensils in it.

This item arrived heavily used. The cooking surface was scratched, greasy and still had food crusted in it. The bottom of the pan was worn, scorched and had residue from a gas stove all the way up to the handle. The bottom of the pan was extremely warped, too. In short, the pan was complete garbage.
