  • Great pan
Great non-stick pan at an excellent price. Time will tell as to wear, tho I bought at the recommendation of my son, who cooks a lot, and has had the pan for quite a while. I sometimes use spray oils, which my son says he uses, tho haven't used on mine as of yet. The first order had a noticeable ding on the side and a scratch on the surface, and was packed in a too large box w/no stuffing. Another pan was promptly sent and the 1st on its way back. Gotta love the Amazon customer service. I use them every week for something or other and I know if I don't like or need to send anything back, the service is efficient. ... show more

  • Great brand and one of the best non-stick
I have this brand of stainless steel pots and pans but wasn't happy with my current non-stick pans. I bought this one and I am extremely happy with their non-stick pan also. Performs better than any previous non-stick pan I've owned before this one.

  • Arrived Damaged, and Eggs stick to the surface
The media could not be loaded. I needed two non-stick Omelet pans. My old Teflon pans were getting long in the tooth and not up to what they once were. I did my research, and the Calphalon line came highly reviewed and recommended - so I bought two. I especially liked that they have rounded bottoms, which is essential for flipping eggs. They arrived on-time, but just in a regular Amazon cardboard box with no protection or padding; just loose side-by-side with a bit of paper packing. No manufacturer box or literature. Just the pans. Both pans had deep nicks on the rim (see pics), but I thought; So be it. They didn't appear damaged on the surface, and should work fine. I'm used to the Teflon type pans that are extremely smooth and slippery. These Calphalon pans have kind of a rough surface when you run your hands over them. But, I gave them a try. As you can see by the video, it didn't turn out well. I'm not a bad egg & omelet guy, but - in a nutshell - eggs stick to the surface. And not just a little bit. After cooking I literally have to use some elbow grease to scrape the egg remnants off the pan with a plastic kitchen tool. Flipping and folding an omelet I found even more problematic. I went to Amazon and clicked "Get Product Support". I was transferred to the Calphalon customer service site, and filled out a support form. Calphalon contacted me the next day, and to their credit took my concerns seriously. Did I pre-heat the pan? Yes. Did I use a non-stick cooking spray: No. What oil did I use? Virgin Olive Oil. What was I trying to cook? Eggs & Omelets. How was I washing the pan? Hand wash with a soft plastic brush. Can I prove I actually bought the pans & when? Yes. They requested visual proof I was having problems. I sent them what I have attached to this review. Again, to their credit, they offered to replace the pans. They sent me a Fed-Ex return label, but said I had to pack up the pans up myself - to their specifications. Once they receive them, verify that they are in fact defective and weren't damaged in the return shipping, I would receive replacement pans in 15 to 20 business days. I declined. For a $50 pan it's unreasonable to go through the packing and drop off process only to have to wait over a month for pans I need now. And, there was no guarantee that the new pans would cook any differently. When asked, their exact response was: "the replacement cookware we will send you must be slippery enough since the cookware you purchased is a nonstick pan." Huh? Calphalon has many good reviews, and your experience may be much different than mine. The pans are sturdy and appear to be very well made. But, IMHO, the pans I received are not suitable for eggs and omelets. I'm going down to a big-box store and get something I can actually touch and feel before I buy. PS: My dogs were pretty excited because the force I had to use to flip the eggs greatly increased the probability of a treat making it to the floor. ... show more

  • Great value.
Great quality for a medium-priced pan. comfortable handle. Sides are perfectly shaped for "flipping". Heats fast and evenly on our electric range. I've had various Calphalon pans for years and they've held up great with reasonable care.

  • Frying pan, not omelet pan.
Lacks heft, sides abruptly distinctly vertical from base so not a good omelet pan, handle very uncomfortable because too flat and thin for good grip and sharply squared off at end so gouges palm of hand. All in all, I'm shocked that the professional reviews are so good. Returned before using. Old cast aluminum KitchenAid omelet pan (which housesitter ruined) is still my ideal against which I compare all substitutes. So sad that KitchenAid quit making for some inexplicable reason. ... show more

  • Too small for my intended use
The pan was advertised as a 10 inch pan. The rim is indeed 10 inches but the cooking surface is more like 8. It proved to be too small to easily fry two eggs without difficulty turning them. That's the only thing I wanted it to use it for. I'd like to find the same pan but in a real 10 inch size.

  • Just about perfect for eggs.
This pan has been an excellent addition. Cooked eggs slide out when the pan is turned 45 degrees and it can then be made spotless in ten seconds. Hard to imagine a better utensil.

  • Looks damaged and banged up around the edges.
I love the pan itself for cooking, however, the product came damaged around the edges. Looked banged up with dings around the edge of the pan.
