These knives come very sharp! I've been using the chef knife and the santoku pretty much every day for a couple months and they're still pretty sharp. I can tell I need to hone the edge or resharpen those two blades soon, but they would probably still pass the paper test right now - I am still afraid I'll cut a finger open. I haven't tested the built in sharpener because I have my own sharpening set, so I can't say how good or bad that works, but it does exist. These knives are all comfortable to hold and use. After a while of chopping, slicing, and dicing I can get a bit fatigued, but I also have smaller hands. Really if you're not tired after 30 minutes to an hour of knifework, I think you probably work in a kitchen professionally and nothing will change my mind. I like that the knives are all unibody construction so there's no crevices that can be hard to clean. Usually a simple wipe down with soap and water is sufficient. Sometimes I'm a lazy butt and just toss them in the dishwasher, and so far I haven't noticed any deterioration or rust developing. Of course I am mindful to dry each knife before it goes back into the block. Each knife has a spot in the block, but it is a little confusing where some knives should go. The slicer and utility knives don't fit into their spots as nicely as the others do. Like the holes are cut too small. I could just be doing it wrong.. there weren't any instructions or labels so I was just guessing where to put things. ... show more

The knives themselves are of good quality for the price but the knife block came in pretty messed up. All three knife slots on the right side of block were all cut very short and the knives would were not able to slide in past half way. No amount of rearranging the knives helped so we went ahead and widened the slots our selves and now the knives fit perfectly. While the situation was pretty annoying I still only took away one star because I do like the knives and we were able to fix the problem really quickly with very little effort. ... show more

The design is great and the knives are sharp enough to cut a variety of foods. It comes with a bonus pair of scissors. All the knives come with blade covers for the tip. Cleaning is relatively easy, but when using knives to cut sticky or very ripe fruit it leaves a residue on the coating making the blade have a foggy look near the sharp part. Great knives very sharp and I love that I comes with a sharpener They just leave water stains if you wash them and let them air dry you have to dry them immediately after washing or you get dried water marks overall really great a cute knife set for the price!

I found these from a youtuber. I absolutely love them! I expected them to be heavy for some reason but they are not. They are very light weight and beautiful. When I opened the package I wasn't sure if they were sharp or not but I soon found out when I cut myself, so be VERY careful. I purchased the option with the fewer knives, even though it has fewer it is still enough. I have yet to find any rust or damage to them. I definitely needed to add these to my kitchen and I'm glad that I did. ... show more
