I own four Winix air purifiers, two of which use this style filter. For the last few years I've always used the winix brand filters, but thought I'd save some money and try these out. I'm only a couple of weeks into replacing both units, but here are my current observations: FIT: It's... OK. I can get the filter in, but it doesn't fit as nicely as the OEM. I replaced the carbon filters at the same time, but with some oem leftovers I have. This is where the odd fit really becomes apparent, as the OEM carbon filter won't fit flush against this filter, and it's incredibly difficult to hold both filters in place while trying to lock the filter screen back in. FILTERING: I don't have any opinion yet on the effectiveness of the filter itself, as I don't really know how I would gauge that outside of monitoring the collection of debris. But I can say that there seem to be fewer pleats than the OEM, the whole thing is flimsier than the original. There's also something about the filter or the fit that obstructs the normal air flow of the unit. If I turn the unit on high (tried with both units), the unit makes a terrible inconsistent whirring sound. This is definitely caused by this filter, and it just can't be good for the machine. On the second highest setting it just makes a little bit of a whistle. I don't notice anything at the two lowest settings, but the problems at the higher settings are concerning enough that I can't recommend this filter.

Real easy to install you just take the pieces out and pop these ones in. Way cheaper here than in the website for the brand of the air purifier company. Only problem I had is I never got mine they weren't delivered I had to get them some place else. Other than that they are a great product to get on here for that price.

These seem comperable to the name brand filters. Be aware that the red light for bad filter may stay on the unit. It's something that happens when you don't use winix parts.
