I love this carpet cleaner! It’s a must have. Cleaner is easy to set up and use. I used one tank of cleaning solution per room (average/normal sized room). Cleaner that comes with machine smells amazing. It leaves a nice clean scent. Make sure to vacuum really well before using the carpet cleaner. For maximum/best results go over carpet with plain hot water after shampooing/cleaning carpet with soap solution. You will be surprised at how much dirt this picks up. I noticed my water was dirtier during rinsing than it was using cleaning solution. Carpet will be noticeably cleaner after rinsing with water. It’s just like washing a car or your body. You rinse the soap off after cleaning. Same thing with your carpet. Doing this step leaves your carpet softer and fluffier. The rule of thumb is use the same amount of water as you did carpet cleaner to rinse your carpet. Example - I used one tank of solution to clean one room, so I would use one tank of plain hot water in the same room to rinse the carpet after shampooing. Carpet takes about an hour to dry. The machine didn’t leave my floor soaking wet. It won’t if used correctly. Pay attention to the dirty water tank. It has a fill line and it’s not very high. The machine will stop picking up dirty water once it reaches fill line. That’s one of the downsides to using this machine. The only other drawback to the machine is the brush roller doesn’t come out for cleaning. I included pictures of my carpet prior to shampooing, after shampooing, and after rinsing. The picture of dirty water is what it picked up while rinsing. The pictures with the rug are a before and after.

This carpet cleaner is so amazing. I got it because I have cats and dogs that both pee on the carpet pretty often, and this carpet cleaner cleans it up better than any previous cleaners I've used AND it makes the house smell super clean as well. The pictures I provided are a before and after of me doing a quick pass on some heavy traffic area stains, and I am more than satisfied with the results. The machine itself is also really user friendly, and I love how the dirty water container and the cleaning solution container are separate so it is visually obvious when you need new cleaner or when you need to empty your dirty water. One thing that is worth noting, is that since it does such a great job of sucking up, it does get clogged very easily if you have pets and don't have a good vacuum cleaner (like myself). With that being said, since it's super easy to clean, it is easy to work around, just kind of annoying to do. Like others have mentioned, the containers are pretty small, so you will have to refill/empty a few times if you're doing a full room, but other than that, I don't have any complaints so far.

I've been using this cleaner in my boat on the carpet, my wife uses it in the house on rugs & carpets. We both like the way it loads fresh water and unloads dirty used soapy water. The Bissel trial / small size jug of carpet cleaner works well and smells far better than any other carpet soap I've found. It leaves the boat smelling nice, instead of like harsh chemicals. The same goes for the rugs & carpets in the house. We've used it about a dozen times, and it's held up OK so far. Drawbacks: Occasionally balls of wet carpet fibers, dirt, pet hair collect on the scrubber bristles or their side edges, and the suction doesn't do a great job of picking them up. We have to manually bend down & grab those balls of wet gunk, some of which are the size of a quarter, & toss them in the garbage. I'd like it better if the vacuum section just sucked them right up, too. But commercial steam cleaners and higher end home steamers I've used have the same issue, so it's apparently not a big deal that this one has the same issues. I recommend this one over any other one I've purchased or rented, including the Rug Doctor equipment. Light enough to lift into the boat while it's on the trailer. Small enough to store well in a nearly-full closet. I wish it had come with a bigger jug of cleaner, and that the Bissel replacement soap were less expensive. But that's just life, I guess. Perhaps I'll try other soaps, looking for one that's more affordable and still smells nice. I wish you could remove the used / dirty water jug while the steam cleaner's handle was in the fully vertical position, but that's not possible. You must step on the release pedal to get the handle to go back far enough to allow removal of the used water jug.

bought as a gift but tried before giving it away (to my daughter) haha. worked quite well after an easy setup. Seemed that more liquid was sprayed than was vac'd up. I had a tough time seeing the spray stream..I'm sure if I use it more I'd get better at it and perhaps give a 5-start rating. I used the hose on the stairs which was easy to connect but the braided treads were tough to suck the liquid out of.
