I'll start this off with the fact that I'm new to breeding and have never had an incubator before this, but this was a great first incubator. It's great for the price. As of writing the review, 6 of 9 chicks hatched but they likely aren't done hatching. The candling light works wonderfilly, the turner worked perfectly. Setup was a bit confusing but once it's ready, you just make sure it doesn't dry out. All chicks were strong and healthy. Once your chicks hatch, I'd recommend keeping it open very slightly, enough to let oxygen in but retain the humidity. We didn't lose any chicks from the lack of ventilation but it was warned in the manual. The manual has info on setup and has a progress chart for your own chicks. I would recommend this incubator for anyone skeptical. Also I'd suggest not expecting all your eggs to hatch. This goes for all incubators. If you want an exact number, hatch more and rehome the remaining chicks.

4 stars for good customer service after minor issue with unit. Small but a good starter incubator, there was a BEEPING issue that we could not fix. Called the company, left a message and they called back. After a brief conversation- a new unit was sent out, received when said and is working properly. Hopefully new babies in 20 days-ish

It works great! Definitely purchase a hygrometer thermometer for inside. The temp fluctuates easily. I use a heating pad underneath because it loses heat pretty quick even if you keep the styrofoam. Besides that I highly reccomend especially for a start up incubator

It is constantly beeping because the temperature is set at 100 degrees and keeps going down to 98 degrees so it beeps for a full minute until it gets up to 98 degrees. This happens about every 5 minutes. So it heats up to 100 degrees, then falls to 98 degrees in 5 minutes, then beeps for 1 minute and reheats to 100 degrees. Then in 5 minutes the temp has fallen back to 98 degrees and it repeats the cycle continuously all day and night. Extremely annoying to say the least!!

The temperature control does not stay consistent without using the white styrofoam exterior that completely covers the machine and prevents kids from viewing the eggs. Even with the styrofoam on the temp would drop below 99 degrees and beep for a couple minutes every hour. The height inside the incubator was too small for the chicks and guineas to standup. We liked the egg rolling feature and light on the top to view the developing egg. Would not recommend for classrooms / children learning due to beeping from inconsistent temperature and inability to view the eggs with the styrofoam exterior.
