  • Been Great for 10 months
Model name: Model: QL1100NWBC
I purchased this printer 10 months ago and I've been loving it. I've used it to print hundreds of address labels and a few dozen shipping labels and the print quality is so crisp even on third party paper. It's very easy to load new paper in and it's neatly stored inside of the printer. It is pricier than most thermal printers out there but it's worth the expense. It makes sure that envelopes and packages get to their destination quickly with less errors. No more writing things by hand for me. ... show more

  • Fast high quality labels
Model name: Model: QL1100NWBC
I've got a small business selling items I make. For a few years I've been printing shipping labels onto plain paper and taping them onto the boxes I shipped. I finally decided to bit the bullet and buy a dedicated shipping label printer. The first one I bought was an inexpensive Bluetooth one (not Brother) that I couldn't get to work at all. I'm pretty tech savvy so that was a big disappointment. I finally decided to try again with this substantially more expensive Brother label printer and I'm really glad I did. Setting it up and connecting it to my network was quick and easy. The labels print quickly and are very high quality. The only negative I've got is that setting up some functions of the printer requires me to plug it directly into my computer via a USB cable. I'd really prefer if I could do that wirelessly. Despite that niggle I'm very pleased with this printer and I wish I'd bought it years ago. It's worth the relatively high price. ... show more

  • Love this thing, but don't use cheap thermal paper.
Model name: Model: QL1100NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Hos...
Bought some cheap thermal labels, they don't look as good as the labels that come with this. It's a little difficult to know what it's complaining about when trying to print and it's failing, make sure you check the size of labels it has in it vs the label size your printing. I have 4x6 labels but a default size is a 4.1 by 6.06 or some crazy thing like that, if 4 x 6 isn't selected it won't print. I wish I could print stickers too, but haven't found the right UV and weather resistant paper yet. Prints mailing labels perfectly which is what it's designed for. It's expensive, but for the price and reliability, well worth the cost if you print a lot of labels. ... show more

  • Awesome printer, using it for Poshmark mail labels
Model name: Model: QL1100NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Hos...
Before someone told us about 'Thermal Printers' we were printing on old 8.5x11 paper and taping the labels to the packages. When someone told us about 'Rollo'... I know i wanted one... no ink?? ever?? wow, what a great idea. Later found out that these have been around for a while now and thinking about it, my Ptouch brother machine has to be thermal because i never change the ink on it, just the paper reel... but I didn't know of an affordable kind for anyone... well, Rollo was going to be ours... until... we found out there's no WiFi or Blutooth!!! what?? 2020 and the Rollo design is set to 2010 when Iphones were still sort of new?? So, i looked around and found this one. A bit pricey, but it has Wifi and BluTooth. So easy. My wife sells alot on Poshmark and does her whole business on her iphone. going to a printer or having a laptop around to use the Rollo wasn't feasible, so with this Brother machine.... hooked up to a switched outlet... We turn on the outlet within seconds the brother printer joins the network and she can print labels from her phone to the printer. The labels come out very quickly and stick very well to any type of package. Our only complaint is the cost of the labels, therefore we found an alternative even though the quality of the labels is inferior... but who cares!! it's going to be discarded later on... But the printer is great. Highly recommended. 3rd party labels do work, so don't get discouraged by the cost of the labels there are alternatives out there. if for some reason your 3rd party labels don't work, just take apart the stock roll cartridge and re use it with the no name labels. Yes, it comes apart with a bit of force... it's glued together. ... show more

  • Setup and wireless is buggy beyond comprehension
Model name: Model: QL1100NWBC
Can install the printer just fine and get it connected to the wireless network but after 10 minutes or so it goes offline and will not reconnect to Wifi again. Tried restarting computer, router, printer and it won't reconnect. Tried both DHCP and static IP configurations and it doesn't seem to matter. It will disconnect after a few moments and will not reconnect again. However, if I uninstall the printer and reinstall it again it will work for a short amount of time again. If I power down the printer at all it will not reconnect again. Tried to google a solution and people who have reached out to support are being told the printer needs to be within 5 feet of the wireless router. I'm sorry but no. I have 2 wireless Epson printers that have been working flawlessly for months. Another thing to note that I thought was odd, it doesn't show up as Brother under connected devices on my router. Epson shows up as Epson, LG shows up as LG, heck even LIFX shows up as LIFX but this Brother printer shows up as some generic sounding company from Taiwan. Brother is not in the name at all on the connected devices list. Seems sketch. Kinda bummed I have to send it back. I would have liked the 300 DPI. Giving the Rollo Wireless a try next. ... show more
