  • Exceptional Printer which has solved my consistent problems with inkjet printers!!
Style: Renewed (Refurbished) Pattern Name: Printer
After years of frustration with inkjet printers clogging jets & undependable, I finally invested in a Laser printer. Like so many people today, I don't print many pages & certainly not regularly. Thus, it's so frustrating for me to find horrible print quality, when I have new cartridges!! While the inkjets have clogged from non regular use! All while paying monthly to HP for assurance that my ink will always be plentiful!! Additionally, it's so frustrating that HP didn't inform me that my printing infrequent use makes inkjet the wrong fit for my needs!! It would be nice for HP to offer a trade-in program for Laser & since the have disappointed me, I have moved on to Brother Laser after 30yrs on HP printing!! That said!! Research indicates that Brother is the best Laser printer for home office, so I landed on the 3280 & find it to be a very heavy but well built unit!! ... after seeing the difference between inkjet & Laser build quality, I can better understand the vast price premium!! But, the best part is that now I will never have to worry about unpredictable clogged inkjets again!! I am very please in the early honeymoon days, & so far the 3280 is living up to my need for exceptional print quality while sitting quietly in the background & ready to perform hassle-free when needed!! ... show more

  • Fast and great
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
Only day one using it but so far VERY happy with it. Setup was very easy and quick, absolutely no issues with WiFi connection and printing wirelessly from iPhone, prints very quick and good quality. No issues so far! Not sure why others had issues on these features and made me very worried ordering it but so far experience has been very positive. ... show more

  • Too expensive to operate - printer shuts down with toner half full
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
Printer prints nice, but duplexing speed is the worst I have ever seen. It takes forever and pauses when flipping the page. The biggest issue I have with this is it is EXTREMELY expensive to operate with toner. It shuts the printer down if it thinks the toner is getting low, which is not based on how low the cartridge is, but how many pages you put through. I have been printing mostly black and white, but the color cartridges are still counting down. I purchased the XL cartridges at $443.44/set, and I am sitting here not able to print because it shut down the printer due to claiming a cartridge is low when I guarantee they are all at least halfway full and the print quality is good. There is no way to reset the chip or tell it to print anyway. I currently have (5) HP printers and a Kyocera MFP/copier for my office, this is my only Brother printer; none of the HP's or the Kyocera do this. I will never purchase another Brother printer. I have spent $1,235.20 on genuine Brother toner for this printer since purchasing it on 5/15/2025. I will be throwing this printer away since it isn't cost-effective to use. ... show more

  • Seems to be a great product, setup and working fine
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
Purchased this as my first laser jet printer as a replacement for an inkjet. Inkjet wasn’t getting used a lot and the printer head dried up. The laser printer should solve that problem. The printer came packed very well and it was pretty heavy. They conveniently have lifting handles built in to the bagging that I found to be very helpful in getting it out and where it was going. The printer was easy to set up and connected to my wifi right away. Print quality is excellent. I have not tried photo printing but don’t really have a need for it. The paper tray is great that you can put half a ream in which for me will last a very long time. So far it has woke up each time we tried to print. Overall I am very happy with this product and have not experienced any problems. ... show more

  • Good, but not great, printer
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
For a duplexing laser color printer, this one is decent, and much cheaper than most other options. I had an older Brother than quit working after about 10 years, and this was the replacement. Print quality isn't as good (not as saturated, and blacks are not nearly as dark, as you would want for professional work). It has connection issues pretty regularly, which my older brother printer never had. Cartridge life seems about the same as my older brother, but it's still lower quality. On the plus side, I've never had any issues with paper jams. Brother used to be the "it just works" brand that everyone went to, but I've had a lot of problems with this one. Brother suggests downloading a print helper, which I did, but it doesn't help. For professional use, I'd probably look elsewhere, unless it's just for internal use, billing, or invoicing where print quality isn't a big deal. For accounting, medical records, or legal, it's really not up to the task. ... show more

  • Great Laser Printer for the Price
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
Easy set up / connection to wifi and it comes with ink. I'm excited to have a laser jet printer for my personal printer at home. I also love that the mobile app was easy to install, and I can print documents from my phone.

  • Fast, reliable, and high-quality color laser printing
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
I purchased the Brother HL-L3280CDW because I needed a color laser printer that delivers professional results. Even though it is a print-only machine (no scanner or copier), it performs exceptionally well. Setup was easy, and connecting to Wi-Fi took just a few minutes. The print quality is sharp, the colors are vibrant, and the speed is perfect for home offices or small businesses. ✅ What I like the most: • High-quality color laser printing • Fast and quiet performance • Reliable Wi-Fi connection and mobile printing • Large paper tray capacity • Long-lasting toner, more economical in the long run ⚠️ Things to consider: • It does not scan or copy (print-only unit) • It requires a dedicated space due to its size 🎯 Conclusion: If you’re looking for a reliable and professional color laser printer, this is a great investment. It delivers consistent, high-quality prints and performs exactly as expected. ... show more

  • Defective unit- brother refused to cover under warranty. Support is a joke.
Style: New Pattern Name: Printer
From day one of unboxing this printer it never worked right. First it was lines through the documents even on the highest quality setting, then within a few weeks more errors began, like a total refusal to print for no apparent reason with the data being received on the screen, but just a lazy printer that never would work. When it did print, it splattered ink onto the document. We ended up using it for a kids printer so they could just get non-essential docs printed, but then it stopped doing any printing at all about 6 months in. When I contacted support, I had to jump through hoops to prove we were having problems, often getting disconnected because they wouldn't wait more than a minute to let us do the time consuming tasks they asked us to "check" or do. When I finally had enough and asked to simply get a return form to fill out, the agent told me the problem is the "drum" unit (even though I clearly told them about multiple problems-- not just the drum error). He then said "drum units are consumables, and we do not cover the replacement". When challenged on the other issues it was a brick wall-- several agents in, and they would not give any options to return the printer that has never worked right. I asked for contact information to file a complaint to the corporate office, and they brick-walled that as well telling me they would "contact me". Yeah right. In the meantime I am just going to file reports to the BBB and review sites since they can't help customers when it really counts. They do not stand behind their products and the warranty is not real-- they will use any excuse to not replace your printer under warranty. Get ready to be highly annoyed and offended as your money is thrown in the trash with this printer. To make matters worse, the ink toners exploded all over the inside of the printer, so even if I wanted to continue to troubleshoot on my own there is ink all over the inside of the unit (and my rug now). I cleaned it once thoroughly, and it happened again the next day. Unbelievable piece of junk. ... show more
