The media could not be loaded. Pros: I do like that it is lightweight. It's bright enough to light a large area to see clearly what is there. Good for setting up camp at night. One is able to switch to the dimmer, more diffused light that won't blind anyone you're directing the light towards. Like when walking through a campground. One can then switch to the narrower beam flashlight that is for more of a spot lighting. Good for normal flashlight uses. Solar recharge. For about $10 each, seems to be good enough for campsite use. Cons: The handle is squared so one will feel the edges while holding it. Not comfortable but light so a strong grip isn't needed. Comes with a short, 20 inch Micro USB, "D" shape charging cable. Charging LED light seems to stay on continuously while charging, doesn't seem to turn green or anything to indicate fully charged. I wouldn't call it a "Lantern" as it's a directed light, not a 360 degree light. ... show more

I originally bought this 4 pack for my parents when they camp. They liked them so much, they've given away one to each of their camping buddies, and I had to order more. Both for the rest of their camping buddies, as well as to replace the ones they'd given away. The lights have gone through gentle rain unscathed. Mom also keeps one at home on her bedroom window. She likes the light-weight construction. Despite their lightness, they are durable. There are 3 different light selections, which also come in handy. Very simple to use. When my parents had a 36-hour power outage, they used these throughout the house. I first purchased them in July of 2022. After at least 4 purchases of 4-packs, each of them is still going strong, as of Dec 2024. They really only use the solar charging option to juice the battery. If I recall, I think we may have used the plug charger to charge them the very first time. Since then, the lights have sat in the window to charge. I really can't vouch for the phone charging option. My parents don't use it for that. In my opinion, the reliable function of the solar-charging flashlights was, alone, worth the money. Over the years, I've seen the price fluctuate a little. My original purchase was $30 for the 4 pack. I've seen them rise to $40, and I think briefly once to $50, but they dropped back down to $30 in Fall of 2024. I keep them in my Amazon Cart for quick reference, because I can watch the price & will likely order more soon. ... show more

we bought these for the purpose of the solar charging, the light but also for the ability to charge our cell phones, 2 out of the 3 work. WE tried charging our cell phones on all the ports and none of them work, when you plug in your phone it says its charging but dont be fooled it doesnt charge. i had my device plugged in all night and it stayed at 18%. HOWEVER, the light is nice and bright, the fact that you can power up using the sun is great, so for us its a decent buy. ... show more
