I bought one, loved it, wanted a second for down stairs. We received it, charged it up and used it until the battery required recharge. Unplugged it...NOTHING! I checked the charge, it was good. I attempted to turn it on, NOTHING. I swapped out the batteries with the one that works, NOTHING. I narrowed the problem down to the battery being bad. Solid troubleshooting result. I tried to call Britech customer service, there was no answer, got redirected to Andy Semberg (sp) voicemail. I left a detailed message. No response. I tried to call again, using the cell phone I used before, and I got a recording saying they don't accept calls from my area. I used a secondary number with the same area code & exchange & it went through, however straight to Andy's voicemail. I left a message, no response. I called Amazon customer service, I received the song & dance about being beyond the return date. Sure, I get it. They stated there's been problems with this product & gave me a different number for Britech customer service. I called. I stated my case to the nice young woman on the other end, and she informed me I had the wrong company, this was not their product. I stated Amazon gave me their number & I would let Amazon know. She said, 'good luck with that. We've been telling them that for a very long time'. What the h*ll am I supposed to do? I'm stuck with a crap product with ZERO support from the manufacturer OR Amazon!!!

I originally purchased this for stairs in the house. We now use it at home for the Harwood floors in the kitchen, the carpeted stairs, and use it as our camper vacuum. We don't need to disassemble it to travel, it fits fine in the back seat of my car. Very lighteieght. It's easy to take the attachment off and use more as a handheld. We don't really need to take it off though. Very easy to clean and dump the canister when it's full. lightweight. Head swivels and turns making hard to reach places easier to get at. I love that you change the power level. The battery drains faster during higher power use, but it still lasts long enough to do the whole camper. It does not turn on while charging it though, so you can't use it while charging. We're able to get what we need done when it's fully charged. I would highly recommend. Just don't expect to vacuum your whole house on one charge.

The order for this came quickly was well packed. The top the battery is contained, was simple to push in and pull out and it came right off. However, the bottom once I put it together, there was no way I could get it apart. I tried everything push, pull. I had my son come over to see if he could get it apart. He tried and tried and tried, and all of a sudden that popped apart. However, the tube that connects the top in the bottom also fell apart. There was a little screw in it, and the evidently was not tight when it fell apart, there was a little red wire in there that broke That wire was almost like a thread. It was so fine and so cheaply made. I do have to say I contacted the company by email and they answered me the next morning and after much discussion they said they would send me a replacement repair Well they sent me a whole new Vacuum I was really impressed with this customer service that I got. It seems to work fairly good. I’m surprised that the sand that it pulls out of my entryway rugs. I live in the country and we have gravel that we walk on quite a bit and that’s where it comes from. This is fine for me. I have a cat and me and that’s about it, so there’s no heavy dirt. It picks up small pieces, pretty well, the battery is fine for me although some people said it runs out too soon. I use it on the highest power most of the time and it works quite well with plenty of time left over. I guess I have to say that I had great service from the company. However, I honestly think that there’s a lot more vacuums out there that are better made than this. I should’ve stayed with shark and not read all the reviews online on this item. Several months later: where were all the negative reviews when I was stupid enough to buy this. I learned a few things for one thing I take a screwdriver and wedge it to open either the bottom or the top to get it apart to clean it. You have to be able to take it apart because if you get anything like a leaf for a little piece of paper up inside of it instantly plug up. Believe it or not my son took the broken one home and repaired that little tiny wire that was in there so it will work as a spare. At least I have a spare battery. The main reason that I bought this was because it had the top rated review on two different places online. Yes I learned something. Never trust other reviews.

From last month I had a bad experience in how this vacuum just died after 4 months of light use.. I reached out to the company's customer service to share with them how the vacuum just died, even though the battery reflected a 100% charge.. I honestly didn't expect anything... to my surprise, the company wanted to make things right and shipped a new replacement unit. I understand there can be quality issues with any mfg. however, Britech made a negative experience into a very positive one. At the very least, the company stands behind the product in my experience. If your wondering if I had to return the defective unit, the ans is no, no questions asked and they indicated that I do not need to return the defective vacuum.. I do hope the new replacement will last.... Well, after 4 months of "light" use, vacuum will not run... battery charge reflects 100%.... VERY disappointed... so much for reliability... stay away, looked into reaching customer service, message on amazon says its not eligible.. I'll try my luck with a more recognizable brand name.... doesn't anything last anymore???
