I live nomadically 6 months out of the year and many campsites have very hard water so this is a lifesaver for my water heater and certainly an inexpensive way to get a lot more years out of it. Inexpensive and very easy to install.

This little device can help save some big repair bills (due to lime sclae) down the road! Pros: 1. Multiple installation methods to provide descaling locally (at sink, toilet or tub) or whole home by installing on the cold water intake line for your water heater 2. Easy installation for the local applications 3. Doable installation on water heater install. This (working with water heater) is just one of those things that getsx3asier with experience. 4. Provides a noticeable differently in water quality pretty quickly 5. The cost benefit of this device is off the charts in a good way considering how effective it is when compared to larger filtration options and home appliance upkeep if you don't have anything at all. Cons: 1. Instructions are a weak point here but if you take your time this issue can be overcome All-in-all, I am very satisfied with this device and would recommend it to others even with the less than stellar instructions.

This product does not work, the filter allows does not remove hardness ( I sent the sample to certified well water lab ) . They should have an option to return after 30 days allowed by Amazon since it takes a few months to see the results.

This scale and lime filter appears to be made of quality and has a solids feel about it. This inline scale filter does appear to be made of stainless still and nickel plated brass. At first glance for its size you may not think much of it until you pick it up. It has a wright a about it that tells you it is a quality piece. This filter appears to be easy install just place in piping running to you single spout faucet, whether that is a shower head, kitchen sink, bathroom sink and ect.. The filter comes in box as a one piece unit with instillation instructions. I will update this review over time once installed to describe the performance of the this piece.
