    • Does not get hot enough
We have used this about 5 times now.....giving it "another chance" each time. The oil does not seem to get hot enough even at the highest setting which is 375. Should be fine for fries and tater tots but they just don't fry right. How had this fryer had some higher settings like up to 450, maybe I could have fudged with it a bit. The finished fried product seem more heavy with oil which is a true indication that the oil is not hot enough. I didn't put a thermometer in there but I'm sure it isn't. I am outside my return window. I just wish they still made the one I have used for years by another brand which is discontinued. So my hunt will start again for a good replacement. ... show more

the magnet for the power cord to the back of the unit does not hold connection very well, the unit may lose power when opening or closing the lid, or if the unit is moved slightly.

Very disappointed with the deep fryer. First of all the description says its a 12 cup but the box says it's a 10.5 cup. The description also says the oil pan is removable but it is NOT!!! I bought this deep fryer because of that. You need to change the product description to what is on the actual box!!! ... show more

    • Very nice deep fryer.
Only downside is the fact that the tank is not removeable. I like this style much better than the ones that have the heating element right in the oil. This one heats from underneath.
