UPDATE: After I posted the original review, BougeRV contacted me and greed to send me a replacement, which is working properly. So their customer service is excellent and they check reviews. Changed rating to 4 stars. Hope this one lasts for a while! I purchased this EV charging cable for $330+ when we got a new car that only came with a 110V cable. (Our prior EV, a Tesla, came with both 110 and 220V.) It worked well but then we started having problems with charging several months ago. We had the car checked out with the dealer to eliminate problems with the car's port or software. Finally we determined it was the cable. I wrote to customer service last month and provided the requested documentation. They responded that it was out of warranty--1 year--and offered an $80 credit towards buying a new cable. I was annoyed, to say the least, because a cable at this price shouldn't have such a short life. (Our Tesla cord worked for almost 10 years before we sold the car, and is probably still working!) Even more annoying is that several other reviewers had similar problems and received a replacement cable. (I plan to copy those reviews and send to BougeRV customer service. If they send a replacement, I will update this review.) For now we are managing with the (ridiculously slow) 110V cable, as we aren't going on long drives. ... show more

This charger was installed for my new Ioniq 6 SEL and I love the fact I can plug in the car at home and start a charge in off peak hrs automatically. I would like to see more of the Wi-Fi app though and the charging is a little vague so I have the car set to charge at 21:00 till 5:00. Not the internal setting on the Wi-Fi page itself. Works as it should, plenty of cable but am thinking of getting the extension just in case of road trips to families house. I usually charge on 40 amp but now with the recall checked and software updated I’m going to try the 48 amp and see where that leads us ... show more

The charger functions very well. Plug n play with Hyundai Ioniq 5, charges nicely at 40 amps when plugged into a NEMA 14-50 plug. A couple negatives - the lead cord is extremely short, so the nice included wall mount will have to be mounted directly below the outlet. Not enough slack to loop it up higher on the wall. Also, the WiFi functionality only works when you connect to the charger’s own WiFi, there appears to be no way to put it on your home network. But, for the money, it appears to be a decent basic home charging option that can juice up at 40A. So that’s a winner. ... show more

This was my second one thought my wiring was the issue so I had it professionally wired up this time The outcome was no different after about 10 months the unit was dead as a door nail just like the first one I’m going to contact support in hopes they back their product but till then only give 2 stars I changed my review to 4 stars because support acted quickly and sent a replacement no questions asked hopefully this one last over 10 months ... show more

I installed this in my garage on a dedicated 50amp line. Set to 32amp charge and now the van takes 2hrs to charge instead of 13, which of course, was the goal. Happy so far, if I run into a quality issue I will update the review. Installation is easy, and took me 15 minutes. If you need to run the 240v line however, you may need a couple hours. ... show more
