I have not used this one yet. I have another one just like it that I have used more than 20 times and it still works great. It's easy to put together. Your hands will get dirty, get over it. Put approx. 12 coals in it and light it up and your good to go. I have done burgers, dogs, kabobs, steak. It's the perfect size when you only need to cook for 1 or 2 people. My only issue with the other one is the grate. There are a lot of them like it. It's a crisscross Steele wire not a rod in one direction like a grill grate. It's thin and ends up bending and will break. This one is different. The grate is solid with slits cut into it instead of the mesh wire. This should make it easier to use a spatula for burgers, etc. Also when using teriyaki chicken kabobs (sticky stuff) it makes it very hard to clen the crisscross wire mesh. ... show more

    • Totally useless for my needs
I thought a mistake had been made when I first seen the package. It came in a very flat 10 x 12 manilla envelope. Not good right from the start. My grill had rust on it! It is very small and very flimsy. I would be terrified to use this because of how unstable it is. You get what you pay for and I should have spent more money. I bought this in case of a hurricane and we lost power and needed to have a small grill but this grill is ridiculous. Save your time, get a more expensive one! I returned mine. ... show more

Quality for the price is not bad at all! I mean they say it’s mini so don’t expect anything else! It was easy to assemble. We cooked some shish kebobs on there! It fits about four. I wish I had a pic! I didn’t take any good ones so not worth posting them. Overall I give it a 8 out of 10 I wish it would come with a little bag or tray so you can just put it away after it cooling down. Makes a mess afterwards since there’s nothing underneath it! But that was my fault could’ve but it on top of a metal tray to avoid it from leaving a mess under it! ... show more

    • Pretty mid, a bowl could work better.
After a few uses of this grill the paint stripped off and exposed the bare aluminum underneath and the metal itself started to warp. Not to mention that the top grill part is really flimsy and I assume was coated in some type of chemical as when I started to heat it up, smoke arose from it that wasn't the charcoal, but rather a coating burning off the grate, I had washed the grate prior to use as well. Although the quality of the grill itself is subpar, it isn't terrible, and I suppose that in a pinch this could work in place of a normal grill. But everything would probably take 4x longer to cook through. This is more of a gimmick or survival stove, but it serves its purpose the the fullest extent that it can. So overall, do not get this if you plan to cook your food in under an hour and eat normal sized portions. ... show more

Affordable, compact, and more concentrated grilling than using random grills at the park. I was surprised and pleased to see it work well. Get more bang for my buck by not having to overdo it on the briquettes

No. Just no. Tiny, thin metal. Enough heat if totally full of charcoal to cook (maybe) one burger. About like trying to cook with a heat lamp.
