These clips worked great! We have a radiant pool, so most of it is buried underground but it's still an above ground pool. A traditional cover would not have gone on well. I used these clips and then the cover cable to keep wind from getting underneath and it worked great! I might pick up another pack so that I can clip the entire cover end to end all the way around.     • Must Have Winter Cover Clip!
We have had our pool for 4 years now. We used to have these black pastic cover clips that worked "okay". They usually only last one winter season because they crack. I went online to order more of the "okay" clips, but I found these WONDERFUL clips instead. I ordered them and thought.....let's just give them a try. I am so glad we did. We have a very windy backyard, and they clips are holding up amazingly!! They are much easier to put on and seem to be a little larger than the cheap, black plastic ones I used to use. These were very difficult to get over the edging of my pool; my son had to get them on. They are a tight fit and we snagged the pool cover in a few spots. On top of the anchors I added water tubes. However, for a difficult pool to cover, they hold the cover in place better than anything I've done before. I have an odd sized wood-sided pool with a deck flush to top board so the cover can't go around it and be cinched. Then because deck is wooden, no place to recess anchors. ... show more

I bought this several weeks ago. Reviews seem to be split on if it works for them or not --- so I wasn't sure if this would work or not. I have been VERY happy with this. We've had some pretty decent windy days these past couple weeks and each and every clip have stayed put. I spaced each of the clips about 6-12 inches from each other --- which gave me about 3 per section (2 on the shorter curves). I only ordered 20 - and only placed them on the one edge that gets the worst of the wind and it has been doing great! We just had a very windy/rainy/hail day today and they all are still there. ... show more

Not a product complaint. Just didn't attach securely to my pool top edging. When a strong wind would whip across the winter cover it would put the cover in a 'roll' stressing the attachment points of the clips and work them off. It is a 28'round salt water pool. I also use gallon jugs filled and attached with bunge straps attached at wire around pool at cover attachment loops. I think this exastubates the clip tension problem. I don't blame the product as much as the combination I'm working with. ... show more

    • Just what we needed
We have a 24ft round above ground pool and these were just what we needed to keep our cover secure. I ordered 2 packages and had PLENTY! Used probably 1 and 1/2 of the 2 packages we bought but one package would have been fine I'm sure.
