The pool (6'-6" deep end) has held temperature at 82-84 F even with night time temps dipping into the low 60's for over two weeks. I have a small solar heater on the roof which helps maintain. This sheet (16'x32') works amazingly well for under $200. (Measure twice cut once) cuts easily with a good pair of heavy scissors. This will easily add another 4-6 weeks onto the end of the season. Watch You Tube as its important to let it lay out on the water in the sun for a few days to flatten out before final cuts. Don't forget to leave 6" on the reel end so you can double over the edge before attaching the clips.

This much more affordable cover replaced a much heavier 18 mil cover that lasted almost 3 years before falling apart. This thinner cover is MUCH easier to cut and install as well as rolling and unrolling. Installed in February 2022 it was rolled up and stored for the summer then reinstalled in November. I can't speak for heating... in the winter when the Florida sun is low in the sky the solar heater only raises the temperature in a 22,000 gallon pool 3 - 4° on a sunny day. It does prevent debris and retains heat overnight as well as minimizing evaporation but if it actually contributes heat you can't prove it by me. Although a 5 yr warranty is touted I was unable to access that info and unable to contact the manufacturer after the cover totally deteriorated after 14 months with 8 months of actual use. Pool chemicals and the Florida sun contributed to the cover becoming brittle to the point you couldn't reel it up or even touch it without it tearing and falling apart. The same happened with the previous heavier cover. I'm convinced no matter which cover you buy the environment is going to cause premature failure. If I have to repurchase every year or two I'll go with whatever is cheapest and easiest to install and roll up.

We have a 12 x 24 Bestway above ground pool and it was a bit chilly for our comfort level. I decided to try this solar cover based on the reviews. I’m glad I did get it. As other reviews have stated, it does not reach the whole depth of the pool. The water is really only warmed the first few inches of depth but as we swim around that water disperses. The water directly under the solar cover feels like bath water on really sunny days. It definitely adds to our pool enjoyment! One added benefit I did not consider is that with the solar cover, debris is trapped and less likely to make it in the pool. As you can see in the picture there are coconut tree pods on top of the cover. I did take off 1 star because this cover is heavy and cumbersome. I would definitely recommend getting a solar cover reel system so taking the cover on and off becomes easier.

I’m on my 3rd summer using this cover. It’s been great the first 2 and 1/2 seasons but halfway through the 3rd season the bubbles are starting to break and it’s ripping. Looking at the more expensive options from reputable companies they come with warranties but looking at the restrictions this problem wouldn’t be covered. Because of the great price point from this on Amazon it’s a good buy and I recommend. The only thing for me is that I can’t have it on all summer when not in use because it heats my pool way too much, however does a great job with water and chemical loss

We are enjoying our non-heated pool in July!!! This has never happened because our pool is soo cold! Bought the solar pool cover so the pool might be warm enough to bring our new rescue dog who has only three legs in for a swim. Swimming is wonderful for tripaws! Their remaining joints take a lot of pressure and many develop arthritis. Well, I do have arthritis and I am loving swimming everyday because the water temp is delightful! The cover is not hard to pull on and pull back if you have two people. We put a brick on the 2 corners where we pull the cover to. Always keep the bubbles facing down on the water. It's so interesting when you first step into the pool. The top 12" are really warm and then your body mixes that warm water with the cooler water below! We checked prices at local pool stores and buying this on Prime Day, got a wonderful discount! Even without that, Amazon was a little cheaper and the delivery was appreciated!! Enjoy!!!

Thus really works to heat up the pool quickly. Mostly just the top few inches but paired with a pool heater and it cut a lot of time to warm up. My problem is that its supposed to prevent the chemicals from fading , but after leaving this on the pool for 3 days and my entire 30k gal pool was lime green. More effort than I want to deal with. Ita also extremely bulky so make sure to have a proper plan of how to store this when not in use.

Our pool is not heated but it’s in the sun most of the day so a solar blanket works very well. We’ve bought a number of these types over the years, but this one is the best fit we’ve ever had. We have an odd-shaped pool with lots of curves which makes it difficult for coverage which is important for water heating and keeping dirt out of the pool, and this one is perfect. It’s also the best in terms of being able to cover and uncover the pool as well as the cover is not too heavy. It’s done such a great job with heating the pool that it’s hot tub temperature right now, so we might need to leave it off for a day so that the water cools down a bit. So far we’re really pleased with the performance.

So, I've only had it for a month at this point, but it's holding up well so far. AZ heat sucks and can be a real jerk to plastic, so I'll update once I know how this thing fares after a longer period of time. I don't need it to heat my pool, again, Arizona summer, but to prevent evaporation. This is smooth and easy enough to use that I can pull it off the roller in the morning to cover the pool, and reel it partially in at night to help vent the heat in just two or three minutes each time by myself over our 32x16' pool. Working perfect so far and hoping we can get another month or two out of the swim season in the fall and spring from it. I'll update with any issues that arise or if this thing disintegrates in the AZ heat like so many other tarps and covers so.
