Works really good to heat up the water. Only drawback is you have to trim it down to fit. Comes way too big for my 24’ round pool. I even called the manufacturer before purchasing, and they said I would not have to cut it down. I would have given 5 stars if it would have fit right out of the box.

We ordered two of the 12’ round solar covers for our kidney shaped pool. Pros: These covers are awesome and make a huge difference in the water temperature on sunny days. Cons: If you have to order multiple of the covers like we did, you’ll have to check on them periodically because they like to play bumper cars and float on top of each other and get all tangled up. ... show more

I just got it today and put it on my 14' pool. I ordered the 12' because everyone said it was too big. It doesn't exactly fit well there is probably an inch of space all the way around but I think it should still work. I do like the thickness so far I hope it lasts.

We have a 10' x 36" above ground metal frame pool. Also, we live surrounded by fields so its always windy at our house, sometimes ridiculously so. Last year it took forever for our pool to warm up enough to swim in. After setting up the pool (with freezing well water) and getting the chemicals in and everything balanced we put the cover on the first night. By the next day the temp was in the mid 60's, the day after that it was in the mid 70s and when I check it in the mornings the water temperature is warmer than the air temperature so I assume that the solar cover is working properly. It's only been set up a few days and has been cloudy and overcast but I have high hopes the water will hit 80 within the next couple days. It's definitely warmer faster than it was last year and the kids have already got to go swimming. My main concern was it would blow away but it sits on the water and must form a seal because although the edges with flip up and blow around and it did get pushed towards one side slightly during a thunderstorm it never looked like it could blow away. I also saw a review say its very heavy but to me it's super light, like a big roll of bubble wrap. I have also had no problems putting it on or getting it off the pool because of its size or weight. The only thing I don't like is that anything that is on the top of the cover ends up in the water by the time I get the cover off which is not very effective for a cover. I'm not sure if its because I'm doing it by myself or if it would happen even with help. If it does it's main purpose of warming the water up so we get more swimming time I can deal with that. Since I haven't been using this long if anything changes I will update my review accordingly. ... show more

While 5*'s for was given in each category, I am annoyed that I had to cut it down to an actual 12ft as ordered. It gets only 4*'s overall. However, I would buy it again if it was an honest size.
