If I could give this negative stars I would. Not easy assembly, safety is not good, build quality is terrible. It doesn’t function properly, you can’t raise the stairs. There was no markings to drill holes, the instructions didn’t make sense. The stairs are too buoyant even with sand in the ladder to put it in the water.     • Very unstable, expensive, and poor quality.
I bought this item because it had certain things I liked. The platform at the top to stand and turn on before entering or exiting the pool and the safety flip up stairs. After receiving the item I was excited to put it together. The instructions are confusing and the pictures are unclear. We finally got it assembled and realized they're were not enough screws in the kit so we had to go purchase some to complete the installation. We instantly realized the instability. The top ladder rail bends easily with less than 80 lbs of weight. We bought this for safety so my grandkids could use it without concern. We were unable to stabilize it as my pool rail is to short even at 48 inches to secure it to. Finally when we got the sand in the legs as directed it drained down through the tiny holes in the bottom of the legs,(which did not come with any kind of plug). So now I have sand in my pool. I can't believe I didn't read the reviews on this product before I bought it, I usually do! This is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on amazon and that is saying a lot. My suggestion is don't waste your money! Go with something like the simple aluminum ladder I got with my pool or build a deck! ... show more

This ladder was meant to be a replacement for the old metal ladder that comes with most pop up pools It is technically adjustable, but you have to use a saw if you want it less than 54 inches. I made a horrible cut, compromising the integrity of the ladder They hardware is incorrect. On the outside that hold the fold up stairs there should be more washers and lock nut. On one side I already lost a nut, and on the other the small washer popped through the plastic . Thankfully I work in a bolt warehouse so I could Identify the problem quickly. I will have to buy the proper hardware . The instructions were minimal, and hard to understand. On top of all of this, the ladder is extremely shaky and unsound. I am keeping the old ladder as a back up, because I do not believe this , nearly 200 dollar ladder, will even last through the season ... show more

This ladder is so cheaply made it’s not strong or sturdy. The steps bow when you walk up them . I would NEVER order this ladder again ! It’s not worth the money I spent!!!     • A little wobbly but solid.
Overall you get what you pay for. There are a lot of pieces. My only mistake was not fastening the last step on the outside ladder to the structure and not the safety arm. Preventing the safety arm from going vertical. You have to cut the platform arms regardless whether you need 52 or 48 inches. I'm 220 lbs. and the ladder is a bit wobbly side-to-side but still feels solid enough to support my weight. ... show more
