Ordered this product because buying winter covers from the local pool store that only last one winter was getting too expensive (we live in Upstate NY near Lake Ontario). Not only was this cover much more affordable, but I was very impressed with the weight and quality feel of the material! If it only lasts one winter I will still be pleased due to the price, but I am anticipating getting at least two maybe three winters out of it based on the feel of it. We'll see. This is the second year of owning our Intex above ground pool. Because of our location, we put the pool up in late May, and take it down in September after the kids are too busy with school and sports to enjoy it. Our first year, we did not use a cover at all, and paid the price in water temperature/evaporation and chemical imbalances. Last year, we purchased this pool cover as a daily use cover. Instead of using the included tie-down, we used bungee cords to make installation and removal easy. We live in the Memphis, TN area, so summers can be absolutely brutal with some pretty interesting storms. We recently had a thunderstorm with 70+mph straight line winds. This cover (from last year) handled it like a champ. This cover has helped to keep the pool temperature cooler, water cleaner, and has helped to maintain a balance in chemical levels. Overall, I am very pleased. What I will say is that, if you are planning to use this cover as a daily cover like we did, it will only last one year. When we closed and took down the pool last fall, we folded the cover up, and put it into our shed with the pool. When we took it out this summer to reuse, we found that it was shedding plastic so badly that I had to buy a small pool vacuum. This bothered me so much that I bought another cover (the same one) again because I could not get over how well it worked for us the previous year. We just now know that this cover is a single-year use for our purposes and are okay with that investment. ... show more

This is the best pool covet I have ever had. I bought it in fall 2023 to close up my pool with and it held up perfectly and no tears or damage. It kept the water clean and I highly reccomend for above ground pools mine is 18x48.

Cover was thick and good quality. The ratchet for the pool cover was low quality, like the other reviews said. It broke during first try, but we saved the ratchet from the previous cover by another manufacturer. We sent in the warranty card, but it was returned, marked unable to forward. So.... I doubt this item has a warranty but it was good thickness. Wecwill see.....this will be year one. ... show more

I have not gone thru an entire winter with this tarp but putting it on was easier because it’s a heavier duty material. Our 18’ round cover was plenty big for an 18’ pool even when we put an inner tube in the middle of the pool and stacked our solar cover on top of that and then ran light weight rope around the tube in 3 places and staked the remaining rope into the ground to keep our “pyramid” in the middle of the pool. No milk cartons with water hanging off the tarp. Fingers crossed this tarp lasts at least until May 3025. ... show more

I paid is little more for this cover due to the constant winter rain in the seattle area. Cheaper tarps were lasting only 1-2 seasons. This one was trashed within a few months. Almost every grommet ripped out, and it had long tears along the edges. This is only suitable for light weather - no rain or snow. It is basically a leaf cover. Even for that...don't give this company your business. They make no attempt to make things right at all. ... show more

I am using this as a daily summer cover for a 16 foot above-ground pool (the extra overlap really helps keep it on even during high winds). It's essentially a heavy circular tarp but is a better price than an actual tarp. I've been using it about a month so I can't speak for longevity. I doubt it will last more than 2 or 3 years, just because I've never had a tarp last longer than that; but for the price it's worth it. It's heavy, of course, but not so unwieldy that you can't take it on and off each day. (Although it is easier with help.) The winch provided is not high quality but does work. ... show more
