Over the years we had more expensive covers (double or more in price) that only lasted 2 years, then started failing. I put one of these on every year, new. It works great, for one season. When we're ready to open, we pull this thing off, fold it up, and throw it in the dumpster. I could pay 3 or 4 times the price and get a cover that will last 3 or 4 years, but it's not worth the bit of plastic I'm saving and the time I'm wasting. This is a giant sprawlmart tarp that will fit your pool, simple as that. For about 50 bucks a year, which is about 66 cents a day if you look at the pool season, it's just not worth wrestling with old covers only to have them look like crud and fail prematurely. For 1 season, this is a 4 star based on performance and value. For 8 seasons, I'd be shocked if it was recognizable as a pool cover at the end. lol.

I hate to write a bad review but I must. I got this cover in 2017 for 24ft round pool. Knew it was going to be a one year and done cover at this price. I took cover off on May 24th 2018 and it was the worst my pool looked ever. It had come apart small holes every place and pool was full of trash, green moss growing on the bottom. It was rotten before the 1st year. I seen that it wasn't going to be good after just a few months onto the pool but thought I'll wait till I pull it off to judge it. I will NEVER buy this cover again even if it was only 5 bucks because it's not a good product. I wasn't expecting much but not even one years use? I will spend more to get better.

We had this cover for 1 year and 7 months but out of that time it was only used twice 6 months & 7 months for 2 winters and it already separated and started coming apart. Don't let the manufacturer fool you with this 8 year warranty bulls*** cause that is exactly what it is! They only gave us 50% credit of $14.74 which is half of what it cost but it has an 8 year warranty. You would think it would be a better product and since it is 8 year warranty and it didn't even last 2 complete years that would only be 25% deduction giving us 75% credit! Then to top that off, their product sucked so they want to charge us $17.01 to ship it to us! Basically they just want us to pay for a brand new cover, so with that being said, we will just purchase a better quality one and buy it from someone else because trust me, you get what you pay for and basically this cover has no warranty and they don't stand behind their product because if they thought they had a good product, they would give you more credit for such a short period of time and not charge you shipping since it isn't your fault it tore up!!!!!!!!!! We did everything by their instructions too, exactly with support in middle of pool just like the instructions & pictures which we still have slong with warranty because I throw nothing away!

So in bought this cover despite some bad reviews, although I had it for 1 year and by the end of the winter season when I started to drain the water from the cover to remove it I was not able to. The reason behind it the water from the pool was seeping thru the cover and vise verses. The last month of the cool season the water from the top of the cover has been mixing with the pool water. I have contacted the manufacturer to claim the warranty, advertised as 8 year warranty. To remind you this is a year #1 of 8. They told me they would be glad to replace it for $20(a shipping charge). I have paid $35 plus tax including shipping. So how does the warranty replacement cost more then 50% of the brand new product??? I'd say this is a case of false advertisement and a very deceptive practice. My advise to but something more decent, otherwise this will cost $35 times 8, which is $280 to have ur pool cover over 8 years, like this product claims to accomplish.

This cover did not last one winter, there are lots of holes in it. A waste of money. Do not buy again. 9/6/17 Here I am again looking for a new winter cover because this one I purchased last year did not even make it one season. For the price of these you would think that someone would create one that would last. This pool is now 10 years old. I have purchased at least 7 winter covers. It is funny when they say 8 year warranty and they do not last one year. I have never had one replaced. That would be a first. 9/21/17 I would like to update my review- I wrote a letter to Amazon on behalf of this product. I wrote the email and was answered in just a few minutes. I cannot believe the customer service, I wish I knew if it was the seller or Amazon. They refunded me my money on my Credit Card. I do purchase a lot from Amazon and if it is a small little problem I do not bother with it. This cover kept making me upset, so I said something and they took care of it immediately. I bought this winter cover for my 21' above-ground pool because it was cheap, basically. My hopes were that it would last at least one winter while protecting the clear water underneath. I just pulled it off today after it being on for the past 8 months and it did the trick. I do question whether I will use it again next winter, though, as there is a small tear around the edge. However, the cover as a whole did hold up quite well. The tear in question could be because of possible extra strain on the cover, as it would appear I have an extremely small leak in my liner somewhere, which caused the water level to lower by about 2 feet and the cover ended up having to support most of it's weight when filled with rain water. All-in-all, this cover did what I wanted it to do.
