Some have said this does not hold air. I've had no problems. However, I think the reason some don't hold air is because you have to be REALLY meticulous when seating the cap. It has two seals on it, and if you don't get it pressed down just right, air will leak. A little extra effort and there shouldn't be a problem. Also, when inflating it, I couldn't get the flap to open up...almost like it was sealed shut. Just push around the edges of the flap with a rounded tip object and go in a circle, and eventually it will open. Oh, and don't even try to inflate this by mouth. I used an air compressor and it still took a while. I inflated it almost to capacity and then deflated it a little to allow some room for expansion and contraction. Has been fine so far.

We have been purchasing this pillow for the last several years to close our 27' round above ground pool. If you read the directions and don't fully inflate it, it works well. We've never had any issues with it deflating.

I was told to weight down the cover with a little water, as to keep the cover from flapping around. I tied this product to the centre of my pool. The weight of the ice around it must have been too much, as it was popped two days later. Maybe i would suggest having some slack in your lines to prevent this from happening. I only rated this 4-stars, because how quickly it died. Should be a bit more durable for the price.

This item did not survive the winter. After a month or so, it deflated, leaving the pool cover sagging. I would not recommend.

Let's face it a Pool Pillow is a Pool Pillow. This is the same one I would have gotten from my pool store, but they would have doubled the price. I got tired of getting ripped off so now I go to Amazon for all my pool needs. The only thing is you have to put the air in yourself. I used a blow dryer on the cold air setting and it worked great. For those who do not know, you do not fill a pool pillow until it is firm. Actually very little air is needed. My pool store taught me this and they were right about that. You use just enough air where you can stand in the middle of the pool pillow. Check out You Tube if you need further clarification.

Very easy to fill the pillows, however, closing the plugs was a nightmare. My husband had to carefully use pliers to squeeze the cap shut securely. That just looks like a great way to cause holes in the vinyl. The size was ok...but over all I feel like they were a waste of money. Even with thpillows the cover doesnt go tight enough to stop low spots from holding water. instead, they created multiple spots. Smart Idea in theory, but I feel it was not a smart purchase after setting it up.

Best product ever, I bought a few of these. I have trees in my back yard by the pool. Throw a few of these on top, put the cover on and it helps keep build up onto of the pool cover off. When it rain and if you have trees like me, you won't have that puddle of water or leaves collected on top
