Arrived on 7 Oct 2016. Inflated it with a high capacity air compressor to a big as I dared. The plug is difficult to seat and I imagine that's why a lot of folks have had leak-down issues. The plug looks like it is in place but the slightest deformation around the perimeter of sealing surfaces will result in a leak. Water test it before you make it permanent. I am writing on 6 Nov 2016 and there has been no apparent loss of air. It does tend to increase in size as the air warms (it is still in the high 80's down here during the day in November. It also shrinks a bit as the air chills so don't be alarmed if you wake up on a sudden cool morning to see your pillow look smaller. All is well. Mine was made as well as any other pool float type thingy...all of the seams were well welded. Just beware of the plug. Altogether, it does a very good job of elevating 18' diameter cover above the surface of the water so no leaves have accumulated, yet.

Best product ever, I bought a few of these. I have trees in my back yard by the pool. Throw a few of these on top, put the cover on and it helps keep build up onto of the pool cover off. When it rain and if you have trees like me, you won't have that puddle of water or leaves collected on top

I was told to weight down the cover with a little water, as to keep the cover from flapping around. I tied this product to the centre of my pool. The weight of the ice around it must have been too much, as it was popped two days later. Maybe i would suggest having some slack in your lines to prevent this from happening. I only rated this 4-stars, because how quickly it died. Should be a bit more durable for the price.

It does not hold air. Finally got where I had to close up pool, filled the pillow up with air, put it in the pool and less than 24 hours later it had deflated by almost half. Very diappointed. Update: I had not opened the box when I got it because it was still summer and why pull it out of the box to check it out and then have to repackage it, would never go back to the way it was packed so left it in the box for storing until ready to us. When it was finally time to use I blew it up and it didnt hold air for 24 hrs, when I went to ask for a refund, no refund allowed. Now that isnt right. WASTE of money and I am not happy. Dont think the sellers even pay attention to any of these like they do on EBAY because no one has ever contacted me about my negative review, so based on the fact it doesnt hold air, I cant return it now, and the seller doesnt seem to care I have changed my review from 2 stars to a one star, wish there was a no star to indicate worse that "I hate it."

I didn't have time to return it so I taped the plug with duct tape cross ways and keeping my fingers crossed that'll hold until spring. I don't know how you would fill this if you don't have an air compressor. I guess you could with a hand pump but you'll be pumping for the whole weekend. I couldn't get the plug seated very well and air escaped while it was just sitting on my tractor seat waiting to be put to use. Refilled then taped it closed and am hoping for the best. It does seem like it's plenty sturdy enough for the task it's designed for *if* the cap stayed sealed.

Some have said this does not hold air. I've had no problems. However, I think the reason some don't hold air is because you have to be REALLY meticulous when seating the cap. It has two seals on it, and if you don't get it pressed down just right, air will leak. A little extra effort and there shouldn't be a problem. Also, when inflating it, I couldn't get the flap to open up...almost like it was sealed shut. Just push around the edges of the flap with a rounded tip object and go in a circle, and eventually it will open. Oh, and don't even try to inflate this by mouth. I used an air compressor and it still took a while. I inflated it almost to capacity and then deflated it a little to allow some room for expansion and contraction. Has been fine so far.
