The soap and brush does an excellent job of bringing back my running shoes to life after running through a dirt/gravel trails (thank you town lake). I used to use those bags that you would put your shoes in and toss in the washer with detergent. Those did a great job at cleaning but they would ruin the running shoes foam completely and would make a 50 mile shoes feel dead. So i would recommend this as it does a great job of just cleaning the upper and outside of the sole without damaging your shoes. The soap also has a mild pleasant clean smell. ... show more

It is a must have if you like to care for your shoes. It does clean up decent. Maybe like 80% clean, older dirt marks were difficult to get off but it really revived my shoes. Good stuff.

Very impressive! Made my shoes look brand new. For the newbies if you don't know how to clean shoes then all cleaners will suck for you. If your shoes are super dirty you need to clean in layers meaning you do the first wave then the second then the third and you should be good. Here's how to do it properly and you're welcome I won't charge you. 1. I use hot water from the top in a bowl. 2. Only dip the tip of the brush do not soak the entire brush into water ONLY the tip of the brush. 3. I roughly put about 5 to 6 drops of the solution onto the brush after I've dip the tip of the brush in hot water. 4. Start brushing your shoes before you do remember to use shoe trees and remove the shoelaces if applicable and it's safe on both leather and sneakers but there's another step for leather I'll get into it later. Do not push the brush on the shoe meaning don't force it down you want the tip to touch your shoe that's where the cleaning will happen if you force push the brush down you're just smashing the bristles and you won't get any cleaning done properly. 5. Once properly cleaned rinse the shoe with warm water and rinse it thoroughly. Try your best to shake the excess water out. 6. Take your shoelaces and dip it in the water or run fresh hot water over it and soak it and then drop about four to five drops of the solution and start agitating it with your hands and then rinse it in warm water but agitate it well before doing so. 7. Go buy zipped pillowcases and put the shoes with the shoelaces in the pillowcases I put pairs in one pillow case and zip it up and throw it in your dryer for 1 hour max and use medium heat do not use high heat. You can use low heat if you want but I choose medium. I throw a maximum of two pairs of shoes meaning two pillowcases with one pair of shoes inside each of them in the dryer. 8. For leather shoes or anywhere that has leather or alcantera on the shoe use a moisturizing cream or wax I prefer cream. You just need a little bit and spread it all over the shoe and let it sit for about 10 minutes and then using a microfiber towel start polishing the shoe until it starts to shine. Miscellaneous: For every shoe that I clean I dump the bowl of water out and I start with a fresh hot bowl of water. YOU'RE WELCOME! This cleaner worked great on my shoes, (which could not go in a washer). My shoes were very soiled and cleaned up to almost new as you can see by the photos. The bristles on the brush were falling out and even before I used it there were bristles hanging out. The kit was well made and should last a long, time except for the brush. I would suggest the manufacturer fix that. ... show more

I wore new sneakers that has off white suede panels in a trip to NYC. We all know the NYC streets are grimy, no matter which borough you're in. Came back home and my kicks were scuffed and marked with black streaks on the suede and rubber sole. Decided to buy the Crep kit and I am impressed. This is a high quality product that does what it says, and it smells great. I did not use any warm water on the suede, just the rubber parts. A few drops on the brush is all it needs. It suds up a bit and I wiped it off with the included microcloth. Did all suede first, then rubber on all shoes, including the soles. After it dried, the shoes looked good as new! Best shoe cleaner I've tried so far. It doesn't get all the old, set-in dirt off as much as I'd like, but it does get off some of it and all the new dirt. Pretty dang good compared to everything else.

    • Wait for it to dry first
I use this to clean Italian leather purses without issue. Definitely test spot first, AND THEN LET DRY before determining fastness– but it works great. It looks off while wet after cleaning but it dries 100% fine in my experience.

Overall the cleaner works fine. I’ve used it an about 5-7 times now to clean my shoes. I can’t say I’ve used more than two cleaners to ever clean any pair of shoes I’ve had. My complaint with it is the smell. I guess you could say it has a bubble gum smell, but it’s super pungent. Also, the solution will stick with you on your skin, it would be smart to wear gloves while cleaning. The brush, carrying case, and cloth are nice to have. I guess I don’t know what I was expecting out of a shoe cleaner. I’ll continue to use it to clean my shoes, but it’s hard to tell if some other simpler solution, with the same brush, would do the same job. ... show more
