All visible indications say that this is a quality unit. With an 18 year warranty there is no possible way to know the item durability 40 days after receipt!!!!!!! Also it is a winter pool cover. I do not have any reason in January to remove it, therefor I have no idea if it is easy to remove.......

    • Excellent Quality. There Should Be More Overlap Though.
I ordered the 16 x 32 for my 16 x 32 pool. The cover measures 18 x 33. That gives it a 12 inch overlap for each side in the width, but only 6 inches for each side in the length. That is not enough! I thought this cover would overlap 18 inches. 12 inches is OK but 6?? It will barely fit over the coping and there is zero room for error. It is quality material and the complete kit with anchors and springs is high quality. So why skimp a few inches on the length of the material. Be very careful when measuring and ordering. I would order the next size up since there is barely any overlap. Update: After 1 season the cover looks great. Installation was easy. ... show more

    • Algae growth unbelievable,
After treating pool with algae preventer and shocked , I covered the pool with this cover for 8 weeks so that I could go on vacation. When the cover was removed the pool was dark green and the bottom was full of sludge. I have been addicting shock and algae eliminator for 4 days and cleaning the filter every 3 hours, but still bright green. Today is day #8 and the pool is still green but finally I can see the bottom. The sludge is almost gone but I will need a new filter cartridge as the existing one is beginning to deteriorate from cleaning it every 3 hours. The bottom line is that there is no point in using this cover if it allows so much sunlight and garbage to pass through the mesh. I would have been better if I did not use the cover and just change the water. Do not waste your money on this type of cover. ... show more

I'm very pleased with my purchase. This is a high quality Pool Cover and all the necessary pieces and parts were included. The cover took a few hours to install. I recommend using a 1/4 inch pilot hole first when drilling the concrete slab and work out from the centers as the instructions say. I also recommend measuring the distances between straps before drilling the next respective hole to ensure spacing is correct. ... show more

I had a pool company come to install the cover and they were skeptical since I didn't get it from them. They were pleasantly surprised. New anchors installed and cover stretched nicely. Happy customer.

This cover seems durable and well made. The fit was perfect, with a foot over on each side. This was replacing an old cover, so the anchor system was already installed in our cement. The straps fit perfectly on our anchors. The price was a good value compared to the pool store.
