So far, this is an excellent solar cover. Our pool heats up much faster than it did with our blue solar cover. Important note for all solar covers: only use when your water is properly balanced. I live in Arizona and I like my pool super warm. But I have to use a shade over 70% of the pool in order to swim during the day. This cover still warms up the pool 5-7 degrees.

I used it every night to keep the heat in and debris out. Well, it did help keep the pool warm and debris out, but it does not warm up the pool and within 2 month of use, it started to crack. I have had this cover for less than an me year and as you can see in the puctures it is basically disintegrating a little more each day. I have never been more disappointed with something I purchased on Amazon than this item. Note: I took the cover off at the end of last year laid it out sprayed it down with the hose to clean it off let it completely dry and stored it in the house. When I have the pool covered I don’t run the filter. Now 2/3 of the cover is in fantastic shape and is perfect and have no complaints there. However 1/3 of the cover has been falling apart, ripping, tearing and just causing all kinds of problems. I have even tried to patch some of the tears and rips but after using a whole roll of duct tape my efforts proved to be fruitless. The cover is actually in 3 parts and essentially taped together at a seem connecting it all into one big piece. It’s taped together fairly well except one big difference I noticed is that the end that is in good shape has a very nice tape seem on the outer edge, but the side that is basically gone did not have the same tape seem on the outer edge. I am left to think that this was poor craftsmanship as well as possibly using a sub par piece in the section that has rotted away. In short - BUYER BEWARE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT. I don’t expect these covers to last a lifetime, but less than one year is completely unacceptable. This item shouldn’t be sold on Amazon. It’s not fair to the consumer to pay the asking price for a horrendous product. ... show more

Initially, we loved it. Over 2 years time, the bubble wrap deteriorated and we now have tiny flakes of plastic in the water and clogging the filter.
