  • Very easy to install. No sand/weight required!
If you want to skip pouring sand inside the stairs or tying weights to the side to prevent the stairs from floating, then this method is for you. The reason the stairs float is due to the rails being able to slide up and down inside the brackets that secure it to your deck. To solve this you want to get the stairs positioned inside the pool where you want them, then secure the brackets to your deck, then screw one screw into the side of the brackets and directly into the rail as shown in the picture (one screw in each bracket to rail). Remember you are screwing into plastic, so it doesn’t have to be super tight, so just snug them up, if you go slow, you will feel when the bracket and the rail has been snugged together by the screw, this is where you want to stop. I used 2 of the screws provided to do this. The stairs will fill with water due to the holes already in them and the screws prevent them from floating. ... show more

  • Just What We Needed
Okay, the handrails on this are very questionable, they wobble easily so you need to be careful when you use them. I built a deck and stairs to access the outside of the pool over the rail of the pool. I purchased two dry bags and put twenty seven pounds of sand and each one and zip tied them to the bottom of the ladder on the vertical rails so the bags did not touch the bottom of the pool. I have a saltwater pool and this works great. ... show more

  • Pool Steps
These are sturdy and look good. Easy to assemble.

  • Pool steps
Product is as described, very simple to put together. I didn’t fill with sand, I done what another review said and put a screw into the handrail to prevent them from floating upwards, it works really well. These steps filled with water and they stay down. Handrails could be a little more heavier duty but overall all I’m happy with my purchase and would definitely purchase them again. My pool is a 22x52 and they fit perfectly. ... show more

  • Tis ladder is amazing!
Much better quality that the original ladder we bought for our pool. Also about half the price. The idea of filling it with sand instead of attaching external weights is great! It's as sturdy as a plastic ladder can be, although I wish that handrails were made of firmer material.

  • Good stairs but problematic design
The overall ladder fits my above ground pool and the ladder itself is very sturdy. It takes two people to put together, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The problem is with the zip ties that are meant to hold on the bases that sit on the pool bottom on each side of the ladder. After about six weeks I've had to put on the third set of zip ties (they keep breaking and the bases float out from under the ladder). It is a very poor design which is extremely frustrating. I've sent a note to the company and am awaiting a response. ... show more

  • Much better than the ladder.
I have a 4ft above ground this made the pool much more accessible because it is stairs. I filled it with sand and put one weight on the bottom step. Works well
