Features

  • SPACE-SAVING DESIGN - Maximize your swimming space! The Neptune A-Frame Entry System features 7.5-in deep treads for sure footing while only taking up 22-inches of space from the pool wall. It gives you the ease of steps combined with the unobtrusiveness of a ladder.
  • ADJUSTABLE BRIDGE SYSTEM - Much easier than using a standard pool ladder, this step system features a bridge system connecting two full sets of steps. The top platform is 12-in deep x 20.25-in wide (inside handrails) and adjusts up and down to accommodate any pool wall height from 48-in to 56-in.
  • SELF-CLOSING GATE - The outside steps include a self-latching, self-enclosing gate to limit access to the pool when it is not in use. For additional safety and security, this step system can be locked with a padlock (not included).
  • ANTI-ENTRAPMENT BARRIER Flow-through side panels were designed to prevent entrapment underwater, meeting all NSPI standards for safety. They also reduce algae build-up by allowing water and chemicals to circulate freely.
  • 5-YEAR WARRANTY - The manufacturer warrants this ladder to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal residential use and conditions, for a period of five years.

Description

Install the Neptune A-Frame Entry System and make entering and exiting your pool safe and easy! With only a 22-inch footprint, this entry system maximizes the space in your pool. Made from maintenance-free resin, the Neptune is adjustable to fit pools up to 56-in in depth. The outside ladder has a self-closing gate for both safety and to meet code requirements. Side panels protect swimmers from accidental drowning and allow for better water flow and chemical distribution throughout the pool. The unique snap-lock construction of the Neptune system makes it easy to assemble. 300-lb weight capacity. 5-year limited warranty.

  • Pleasantly surprised
Well I hesitated buying this due to some bad reviews but I'm really glad I went with it. It is actually very sturdy, locks automatically when the door shuts and instructions were easy to follow. I'm not really sure why other people had such issues with it. It's really solid now that it's all together. The stairs don't give, the door opens more than 6 inches (lol not sure why someone left a review saying theirs only opens 6"... operator error I guess) and it doesn't shift around in the pool. We dont currently have it weighted down either. I will say that I could not have put this together, physically. I mean I'm sure I would have figured out a way had I not had my husband but it would have been difficult. Some things did take a little bit of muscle. I have a 1 and 3 yr old. They are able to climb in and out perfectly, can't reach the lock and love they have a little place to "perch" when they want to sit and watch. Thank you Blue Wave for the added security. ... show more

  • Looks can be deceiving! It is not as durable as it looks.
The price of these steps are not worth the headache. The details about the ladder online make it seem sturdy and can hold up to 300lbs. That doesn't seem to be the case. It is not a durable hard plastic. The steps bend in when you use the ladder and it's usually kids that use it. There is nobody in our house that is 300lbs pounds, when we read it we thought it would be a durable and heavy ladder for adults and other visitors. As soon as the kids started using the ladder it moves in the water and the steps bend. As a parent I don't find it to be safe. I was very disappointed in the ladder. It also required a lot of difficult assembly. I give it 1 star because it functions. ... show more

  • AWESOME huge improvement
So glad for the people who stepped up and defended this product! I am pushing 70 and the old ladder into my 48' x 18' round intex pool I put up every summer for me, my grandson and my cousin is getting a little harder every summer! Decided we needed something a little easier for the 2 older kids! :-) I put it together mostly by myself, a little muscle from my neighbor when putting the steps in and help lifting it in the pool. I did not fill it with gravel as I need to take it out every fall. Instead I stole a few hack ideas from others I filled two jugs with pea gravel and tied them to the pool side and set them behind the steps and I also drilled a small extra hole and zipped tied the platform at the top to the pool. PERFECT nice and steady I am overweight and it it is perfect! My grandson is very autistic and hates change but this was one change he really welcomed.. I haven't put the gate on yet but will when it cools down tonight. ... show more

  • Easier entry/exit than ladder and door adds peace of mind for security
Bought this to get through one more year with the above ground pool before putting in an in-ground pool. We wanted something that would not have to be taken in and out of the pool every time so the security door was a welcome feature. It is made of a light plastic but well constructed. It is hollow plastic so you WILL need to put some weight into the inside the pool side steps. The instructions and most of the reviews here are using small garden rocks. Note...get the smallest and smoothest rocks possible. The openings are not that big and if you use jagged or larger rocks you will have a fun-filled afternoon trying to get the rocks un-jammed and through the small opening. Also...the top platform is supported by 4 steel pins. You are also supposed to use some long bolts on either side of the platform to secure it to the top of the pool rail. I wasn't a big fan of this (seemed less than optimal for use over time) so I used some PVC pipe as supports that are under the sides and center of the platform to the top pool rail. Feels more sturdy and I think will hold up better over time. It CAN be annoying that the door always wants to close on you as you get up the steps or as you are coming out but...again...safety. You get used to it. The latch does have a hole in it so you can even put a padlock on it...nice...but...the screws are screwed into the plastic so if someone yanked hard enough they could just strip the screws out. Not easy but could be done with enough "patience". All in all this is an awesome set of steps...makes it WAY easier to get in and out of the above ground pool and with the safety features makes it so that you can leave the steps in and not have to constantly be moving the ladder. Box is heavy when you get it...make sure to have someone help. It is also a good idea to put the plastic steps in the sun for a while before trying to bend them to install them...makes the plastic soft enough to make the job easy. Also..."walk" the plastic pins into the side stringers...you are NOT going to get them all to line up and press down in one shot...line two of them up and press down on one then start lining up the third to press the second in place and then push down hard to get the third one to lock in place. I did have one problem when I received mine...it had all LEFT side stringers and no right side stringers. I contacted the company from the email on the documentation and they sent out the proper parts immediately without hassle. If you have an issue with missing or wrong parts just contact them...they are awesome to work with. ... show more

  • It gets you in and out of the pool is all I can say about it.
If you can by some mirical manage to assemble it. It gets you in and out much better the junk ladder's that typically come with above ground pools. The directions are diplorable. Very easy to mess up. The lock mechanism is a joke because the product is so flimsy. The gate is in the way when you enter and exit. I find a rubber bungee cord helps. Frankly; I hate it. It's a waste of money and from useing several similar products in the past, you will be lucky to get just a 2-4 years out of it. To bend the steps as direct takes super human strength. A gorilla would help. The railings are so poorly designed it's embarrassing. They are incredibly flimsy. There is nothing good I can say. I filled the in the water side steps as directed and they still float. Even when completely full. Making the steps even more unstable. It's expensive junk! However; if your very, very careful, you can somehow manage to get in and out of the pool without killing yourself. Only 2 other options, the actual plastic stairs but they doubled in price to over $1,200. Or build your own out of wood. Then price of wood these days, you can see why I bought this thing. If you buy it, good luck, you will need it. Bottom line for many people especially older folks it may be the only option if you want to enjoy your pool. I hate them but it does get me swimming if I don't wind up in the hospital. ... show more
