I typically use high-end stainless steel pots and pans. However, I like to have nonstick pans for eggs and such. I throw them away at the first scratch, which is typically once every two years at most. This is a decent pan, and, upon the first few uses, it has performed well. The handle is short and hollow with semi-sharp edges on the bottom. I recommend using a kitchen towel or similar to grab the handle to increase comfort and stability. It's definitely a "you get what you pay for" scenario with this pan. The cost/benefit is fair. Given the abuse these get at my house as I teach my young kids how to cook, I won't be too upset if they don't last long. So far, I'm happy with the purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a good but cheap non-stick pan. If you're looking for something high-end, this is not the pan for you. ... show more

Truly non stick. The first time I poured food out of this pan I barely tipped it sideways and every bit of food slid into the bowl. Perfect for pancakes, grilled cheese, eggs , in fact I haven’t discovered anything it is not great for. I love that it is lightweight and the handle is long enough that it doesn’t get hot to the touch, also can be popped into the oven. Clean up is such a breeze I haven’t even been tempted to put it in the dishwasher, although I understand you can. Extra plus is the lid!!!! ... show more

I got this because my teflon pans started sticking. I didn't have great expectations, but liked that it was dishwasher and oven safe. I do still use a little olive oil, but it is super easy to clean and doesn't stick. I have used it in the oven too, and it does not have any issues. I don't put it in the dishwasher because it can be corrosive over time regardless of what the manufacturer says (they all seem to have that in fine print), but it doesn't take long to hand wash this because nothing sticks. I do have a couple of scratches on it, but I think that's because it's been put in the sink with some really sharp knives a couple of times. It doesn't seem to affect it though. ... show more

We had some old fry pans (50 years old) that the non stick had worn off and were becoming pretty warped. They definitely needed replaced. I researched LOTS of pans and was still unsure. My sister recommended this brand. And she was right!! Excellent weight, superb finish and a dream to clean. I've tried to use non-metal utensils but even when I've had to use a metal spatula (i.e. fish spatula), there were no scratches. I was so pleased with this purchase, I ordered two smaller sizes. I have a great set of stainless steel that love but if I didn't have them, I would outfit my entire kitchen with this product. The only drawback is that they don't come with lids nor can I find them sold separately. Otherwise they are top notch. ... show more

    • Handles do get hot on stovetop even in low heat

Let me start off by saying that I really love these pans. But I only gave a 4 star because the handles get hot when cooking on the stovetop even with low heat. Possibly mine are defective or something but I would recommend using a pot holder on the handles.

This is a replacement for a pan I bought a few years ago that I killed by leaving it on high heat. the pan still works but looks bad and the edges are black. BUT enough about my mistake. If you cook like a normal person these pans are amazing. NOTHING sticks to them. Clean up is super easy. In my many many years I have never found better pots and pans. I have the grill pan, all the sauce pans and they look and act like new many years later. I tell everyone about these and my friends have all started using them ... show more

The product does what it claims - very non-stick, incredible technology. Why only 4 stars? The fine print. Chances are you're buying this product because you want to avoid TEFLON and the health concerns that have been raised with it. So you buy this... By buying it you're agreeing that you cannot join a class action with regard to the product and you give up the right to litigate in court or before a jury. It must be done by arbitration. "...the terms provide that, by your purchase of this product, you and The Cookware Company (USA) LLC are agreeing to give up any rights to litigate before a court or jury, or to participate in a class action or representative action with respect to a claim." It's as though they expect something bad to be discovered about the use of the product and are trying to pre-empt any legal troubles... So - I'll use this minimally - I can make pancakes without sticking in my stainless steel frying pan, same with sausages / vegetables etc. I'll leave this for eggs / scrambled eggs only. ... show more

Good pan! I just think it's important to know that this pan is not quite as big as you might think. The bottom -- which is the important part! -- is only about 6 inches in diameter, not 8. Doesn't sound like much? Well, the area of a pan bottom that is 6" in diameter is 28.27 inches. The area of a pan-bottom that is 8" in diameter is about 50.27 inches. An 8" one would be almost twice as big! Otherwise: Pros: Well built Pretty non-stick Supposedly healthier for you than a teflon pan. Can go in the oven Cons: Maybe not quite as non-stick as a good-quality teflon pan. Still, cleans off very easily with just a short soak. ... show more
