We use it to shade our doghouse because it is in direct sunlight for 4 to 5 hrs and it gets up to 110 where we live. Our Desert Tortoise will go inside his house during the hottest time of the day. It’s easy to use and for the most part decent quality. It is definitely not meant for high winds though. First day that we used it at the beach the wind got pretty high and the umbrella began to bend. Worked fine however the next day with light wind.

Was great up until 20mph winds at the beach just broke the metal in half while umbrella was screwed down in the sand. Not strong metal at all. But very lightweight & portable. Only use for NOT windy days.
