So far so good!! Provided the shade we wanted and is extremely easy to unpack, set up and repack. I included a pic with our beach chairs for size reference. Haven’t used it in wind yet, so I can’t speak to the sturdiness . I would recommend based on our experience with it so far!

    • Great Umbrella but LONG shipping times
Overall satisfied with the quality of this product but very disappointed with the shipping/lead times. I ordered this umbrella for a family vacation at the beach over 3 weeks in advance. Was supposed to arrive a few days before our trip and ended up not arriving until 3 days after we returned home.

The design makes installation very easy! If the area you are in is windy I recommend digging a shallow hole about six inches deep, installing the screw, add a few large rocks or shells then pack in some sand. We live on a small island and go to the beach often on small dates. This umbrella gave ample shade for both of us and blocked the suns harmful rays (and rain!) completely. ... show more

On first use Set up umbrella at beach with 15-20 mph gusts. No problem coming out of sand (anchor held) but new inside out and tipped over (without coming out of sand) but bent and cracked pole almost in half. Disappointed and annoyed since reviews said it was fine in windy conditions. I will notify seller of incident and will review their response. ... show more

    • Flimsy stem broke the first time
Unlike other beach umbrellas I'd bought, this one has a plastic coupler that connects the top and bottom poles, with a screw that turns to fix the top pole in place. Most beaches have wind and sun; and the wind easily overpowered the coupler and blew the umbrella off the base. Recommendation; buy one that has a simple lever to hold the umbrella in place. ... show more

We have taken this to St Pete beach on the gulf side as well as Daytona Beach on the Atlantic side. It performs very well in high winds, however I suggest that you invest in heavy duty stakes if you are dealing with winds off the ocean. The stakes provided are fine for lakeside beaches, but not robust enough for the ocean winds. I would def buy again! ... show more

I used this umbrella twice on the beach. The second time I used it on the beach the pole broke in two like a toothpick. Also, the umbrella kept flying off the pole b/c the plastic knob to tighten the umbrella part of the pole will not hold it down. Will not purchase again. I will only purchase a wood pole umbrella. The plastic parts on this umbrella are cheap and not durable. ... show more
