I LOVE this vacuum. It has great suction, can go over low pile rugs, picks up dust and debris with ease and really does a great job. I had a discount brand previously that hardly picked up anything but this one is amazing! We have a small farmhouse with mostly hard wood floors, only about 1100 sq ft. and I use this vacuum almost daily instead of pulling out my heavy-duty Miele. There are 2 things I would change though. 1 - the canister gets full really quick, a bigger canister would be great; and 2 - the battery life is only about 15 minutes. Since I use the vacuum almost daily, 15 minutes usually works for me, but I wish the battery lasted longer. We do have a 105 lb black German Shepherd which adds to the canister filling up quickly :( so I take that into consideration. Overall I would DEFINITELY recommend this vacuum and would buy it again. I've had it almost a year and it still works fantastic! Plus, if you are an animal lover, Bissell is a wonderful company to support!! ... show more

    • Light, Small, and Powerful Enough for Pet Hair and Hard Floors

I read most of the product reviews before buying the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder vacuum. I held off for a long time but after receiving it I'm glad I bought it. Let me start with the pros: I love not having a cord. When I first used the FurFinder I kept looking to see when the cord ran out. Now I can vacuum anywhere I like without pulling the plug out of the wall. It is light. the battery does make it a bit heavy on top. Still, I've had no problem standing the vacuum upright and it not falling over. I like that when disconnected from the power head, the vacuum is light enough to easily handle on stairs and under cabinets...without tripping me with the cord! It has three power options that help pick up the grass and sticks my dog always seems to bring in on her hair. It won't replace my big vacuum for deep carpets but it does work better than the big vacuum on my Ruggable rugs. I also have two cats and it picks up the litter they insist on spreading around the room. The light is positioned exactly in the right spot to show all the dirt and hair you missed with your other vacuum. It assembles and disassembles easily and the two attachments that came with it are handy. The battery lasts long enough to vacuum my entire main floor, which is about 90% hard floor and is close to 1900sf. It's also light enough to easily carry to the basement and upstairs. The power head fits easily under chairs and tables. The cons: For the price, I can't think of a thing. We mounted the provided attachment and power charging station on the wall in a closet so it charges all the time and is charged when I need it. It's so much easier to grab than the big vacuum. The dust and dirt collector is small so it has to be emptied often. That's a trade-off for a lighter weight No, it's not the workhorse for most carpets. All in all, as long as your expectations are in line with the product's function, it's a very nice vacuum to have handy. I'm very satisfied. ... show more

I like this vacuum, it’s light weight, maneuvers well, and it flattens enough to vacuum under the bed and other tight spaces. I appreciate that it is cordless, easy to use. the front light illuminates the floor making finding small debris easy, it is light weight, & versatile. I purchased this item on sale, I likely wouldn’t purchase full-price. The battery does not last long enough to vacuum my entire home (approx 2000 sq ft) on highest speed. The suction seems good picking up pet hair and small debris readily while moving forward; however, when pulling back it does not pick up debris. Overall, a decent sale purchase. I primarily have tile floors with a few throw rugs. I use it daily and it works well as a daily quick clean and in between weekly deep cleans. ... show more

This vacuum is so good. Ive vacuumed so much in this house and as soon as I went over the carpet with this vacuum it got hair out that I didnt even know was in my carpet. The suction is really good, it picks up any mess on the floor and is very quiet when doing so. The vacuum is so lightweight as well which makes it very easy to use. The battery on it also lasts a good amount of time as well between charges. The best part too is that the box is made with little cubby holes to pop out to use it as a cardboard cat hideaway! I bought this vacuum primarily because it advertised as a good animal fur cleaner. And get this, we do not have any pets and never will. But I gambled that the vacuum would do a good job. And I won! I absolutely love my new Bissell PowerClean FurFinder vacuum. Easy to assemble, lightweight to handle, very quiet, gentle on my new hardwood floors and it is incredibly powerful. Also the headlights are quite bright. You can easily see any dust, lint or crumbs you may have missed. The clear canister makes it easy to see when it is time to be emptied. Removal and reassembly are a breeze. There is only one aspect of the Bissell FurFinder I think there is room for improvement; the battery life is too short per charge. Oh! And I got it on sale! So pricing made it a great deal. All in all, I am completely satisfied with the Bissell FurFinder. ... show more

    • Who knew you needed a headlight?

I love this vacuum! It picks up dog hair, grass and anything else that happens to be on the floor completely. I didn't think there was that much dog hair since I vacuum almost every day but the headlight proved me wrong. It lit up everything on the floor and then removed it. With the rubber blades the dog hair vanishes and doesn't get wrapped around the head like the ones with bristles. The attachments are terrific, the upholstery brush works great and the crevice tool does a good job for those hard to reach places. The dirt cup is easy to remove and empty and clips on securely. My only issue was trying to change the attachments, they were very hard to remove. I took each piece apart and applies a little silicone spray and snapped them back together and they remove easily now. I also use it to clean the car. Remove the long tube and attach just the upholstery brush or crevice tool and it does a great job. The battery lasts a long time between charges. I wish I had bought this sooner. Great Features, But the Stem Keeps Disconnecting I really like this vacuum overall. It’s lightweight, cordless, easy to store, and small enough to get into tight spaces. I also love that there are no bags to replace, and it’s very easy to take apart, clean the brush, remove debris, and empty the dirt. The built-in light is another great feature. It makes it much easier to see dust, hair, and small particles on the floor that you might otherwise miss. My biggest issue, however, is that the middle stem/extension wand will randomly disconnect while I’m vacuuming, especially when going back and forth. It’s easy to put back together, but having to stop in the middle of cleaning to reconnect it is frustrating and inconvenient. I’m not sure if this is an issue with all models or just mine, but it has happened several times with my vacuum. Overall, I really like the vacuum and its features, but I would definitely recommend purchasing the warranty. I didn’t, and looking back, I wish I had. ... show more

    • Great quick vacuum, handle needs work

I purchased this to replace an older Bissell 2-in-1 vac that I had to do quick clean ups. I've used this one for 3 months almost daily and really like it. I primarily use it in the room we keep our parrots to pick up stuff that drops out of their cages - like seed hulls, pellet bits, little wood toy pieces, etc. But, before I knew it, I'd just keep on vacuuming into the kitchen area and hallways because it is so easy to use. Overall, very happy with the purchase. Pros: 1. Stands upright on its own! Very handy when you're in the middle of a room and want to step away to pick up a rug or whatever. 2. Lightweight and maneuverable. Easy to get under my parrot's cages, the kitchen table, etc. 3. Battery life seems really good. I've used it on around 1200 square feet with battery life left when I was done. 4. Has lights and they are BRIGHT! One of the reasons I keep vacuuming is that I can SEE all the dust and fur (boxers, so it's short and fine) on my LVP. 5. Has good suction power. It did get blocked once when I was trying to pick up a bunch of pieces of newspaper my parrot had torn up in a pile, but that is the only time. Cons: 1. The handle really needs to be more ergonomic. It is a bit uncomfortable to hold after a while and it was rubbing between my thumb and hand rather aggressively. I more or less fixed the problem by adding one of those velcro on neoprene/foam luggage handle covers. 2. Although the dirt cup is easily removed, you then have to pull the filter/separator off to empty the dirt. It's not hard, just a little dirty/dusty to do. And, some of the dust/debris is stuck around that area, so you should hold it over the trash or it will fall off and you'll need to sweep it up again. The size is fine to me, but I sometimes do have to empty it during use if I'm using it over a larger area. 3. Not so great on carpet/throw rugs. It will pick up surface stuff off low pile carpets and rugs, but it's definitely not for deep cleaning. That wasn't MY reason for purchasing it, so it's not a problem for me. 4. I really wish that there was some way to carry at least one extra tool "on board". When I want to use it as a hand held, the tool I want (normally the crevice tool) is never with me. ... show more
