This 6" L x 5" W x 9.2" H, stainless steel grater has four different grating sides with a silicone handle and ring around the bottom. It is well-made and easy to grip while shredding/slicing cheese, fruits, vegetables, and spices. You will find yourself reaching for this grater more often than not. Your old grater doesn’t stand a chance when compared to this new one. I don’t know why I waited so long to replace my old, worn-out grater. I prefer the larger size. In all honesty, it’s not that much larger than the one I replaced. This one has a well-designed handle and the silicone ring around the base helps to keep the grater in one place while utilizing it. There are four different options to use: 1) slicer, 2) fine shred/zest, 3) medium shred, and 4) coarse shred. Each side has its own individual uses. Don’t limit your imagination either! This grater is convenient with more than just cheese! Super easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. I do tend to place my grater upside down in the dish drying rack so that water doesn’t get stuck in the bottom. I genuinely love this grater. I was tired of buying shredded cheese at twice the cost. I can easily shred potatoes for potato pancakes or use the slicer for fried potatoes. I can grate nutmeg, zest citrus, or simply shred various types of cheeses with this grater. I'm over 70 and never had one of these till THIS YEAR! It's amazing! I don't need to drag out the Cuisanart to chop up cabbage, or onion... I can grate it on this, quick, easy, perfect for our 2-person household. Amazing value for the money, as it does a great job and saves buying pre-chopped cabbage, etc.. It shreds cabbage, onion and carrots, even ham, for Scottish dishes. Makes quick work of it, too. It isn't hard to store. I don't put it in with the other small graters. It's handy, up with the dishes, standing tall on it's wonderful rubber base, so it never mars a cabinet. Safe to use, easy to use. As someone who loves to cook and entertain, a high-quality cheese grater is an absolute must-have in the kitchen. This Professional Cheese Grater from XL Size hits all the marks and has quickly become my new favorite kitchen tool! Right out of the box, you can tell this grater is built to last. It's made of thick, sturdy stainless steel that feels extremely durable and well-constructed - not at all flimsy like some cheaper graters. The non-slip feet on the bottom are a nice touch to keep it stable while grating. What really sets this grater apart is the four different grating surfaces to choose from. There's a super fine grate for things like nutmeg or chocolate shavings, a fine grate that's perfect for Parmesan or Romano cheese, a coarse/medium grate for things like cheddar or vegetables, and finally a thicker grate for slicing and zesting citrus. No matter what you need to grate, this tool can handle it beautifully. I especially love the deep grooves and sharp grating surfaces that make zesting or grating hard cheeses like Parmesan an absolute breeze with very little effort required.
