  • Happy with this purchase
Style: CrossWave OmniForce
I was trying to decide between this vacuum and a tineco; eventually settled on this due to reviews and the water tank capacity. The regular vacuum feature on this is fantastic, it picked so much up that our other vacuum doesn't! The first time I used the mop feature, it didn't seem like much was happening because the floor didn't look super wet. But as soon as I finished it was obvious how much cleaner my floors looked and it just smelled fresher in the house. I also noticed a few little sauce stains in the kitchen come up as I was going, so it definitely makes a difference. The water tank empties sooner than the battery, which I view as a positive. It takes about one water tank to do most of my hardwood floors and then I can finish up the rugs or areas I don't need to mop that round with the dry vacuum. From full charge, this whole routine will take about 60% of the battery. The water tank is also very easy to fill so if I wanted to do every single hardwood surface at once, it wouldn't be any trouble to refill. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the self clean feature not being enough to clean the whole machine. That feature is almost exclusively for the roll brush and anything that gets caught between pickup and the dirty tank, it's very effective for that; I run that feature and then can just set the brush into the stand to dry without having to do any additional cleaning. After that, I just rinse everything else out (brush cover, both water tanks, filters) and leave them out to dry. You don't have to scrub or do anything crazy, but you do need to pull those parts out to dry. I don't find this any more inconvenient than what you have to do after using a regular mop or similar device. A couple more things - this is advertised as being good for area rugs; I would disagree due to the nature of the roll brush and won't be using it on my rugs. Also, I would not say this is a substitute for fully mopping/cleaning your floors. It's wonderful for daily cleaning and keeping a fresh house, but it doesn't get all the way to the floorboards and obviously you can't do any scrubbing with the machine, so I will still be doing an "actual" floor cleaning every few weeks. Overall I would recommend this and find it very useful. We don't have pets or kids, so I can only imagine it would be even more helpful for those that do! ... show more

Perfect appliance for the daily and monthly maintenance of all my floors. Light, easy to use, and cordless. Great for quick pick me ups and unexpected spills. A definite winner in my book.

I decided to give into the Bissell hype when my Tineco died because I wasn’t prepared to spend nearly $600 on a new mop vac. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I’ve had this thing for a few months now and I hate it more the more times I use it. 1) They want you to put SO MUCH cleaner in this thing it’s ridiculous. When I put the amount they want, the mop gets sudsy and leaves soap residue all over my floors. Not sure if they just want me to buy a ton of cleaner since I probably go through about 3 tanks to get my 1500 sq ft done or what. BTW, 3 tanks includes the cleaning cycle I complete every time I fill the dirty water tank. 2) There may be a “dedicated vacuum setting” but the rollers seem to always be wet—ick! It says give them 24 hours to dry after mopping and before using the vacuum setting. I pulled it out today after not having used it for a week and the rollers were immediately wet when on the dry vacuum setting. This makes me wonder how much bacteria was growing on it and is now on my floor. 3) Don’t actually believe the photos where it’s picking up cereal and clumps of hair; it can barely handle a little bit of cat litter and 2 dogs worth of hair. I literally have to hold the vacuum still over large pieces so it can work its way through the vacuum without spitting it out. Most of the time the hair is rolled up and spit out and I have to go over it a dozen times just to get it up. Now, this is when it’s on the mop setting. But like I said above, even when I wanted to use the dry vacuum setting I couldn’t because the rollers seem to never dry. 4) This mop will get all the small particles for the most part so my floor looks tidier but it’s definitely not clean. This just pushes dirty water around which, given the design, shouldn’t be a possibility. But it is and it does. My floors are just streaked with dirty water. 5) The “self cleaning” is not actually self cleaning when I have to rinse the roller and cover before “self cleaning” because it can’t suction up the hair that’s caught up in there. Also, when the self cleaning cycle gets to about 70% and it really starts going fast (I assume to attempt to dry the rollers) it starts shooting little streams of water out from either side of the dirty water tank. Do yourself a favor and avoid this thing. I checked about a month ago and had a heart palpitation thinking I paid $380 but apparently I got it on sale for $230. I was okay with that then and now I feel like even that is too much. At least I saved an animal. ... show more

  • So fresh and so clean, cordless is awesome, vacuum and mop at the same time is great
Style: CrossWave OmniForce
Edit: two week update. my apartment is much cleaner, it's so much easier to use this than a plug in vacuum and a mop, and then you realize how gross old mops really are. apartment overall is cleaner bc the floors are. original: I have a cat, he doesn't mind this vacuum and hated my other one. I have a thick carpet and this is able to vacuum and steam it. so my cat doesn't hate this vacuum, he just watches it. This is my first cordless vacuum, and my apartment has a lot of corners, so that's also really fantastic, I don't think I'd get a wired vacuum again. it got all the kitty litter off the floor, all the dust out, picked up more than my old plug in vacuum, the apartment smells great. I realized how gross old fashion mops were when I used this, bc I vacuumed and mopped my floor, but you're taking a dirty thing, even if you wash it, and putting it in yucky water, steam sanitizes and takes care of pet allergens so it's great if you have friends with pet allergies. it also cleaned some cat vomit off my white carpet, so it paid for itself on day 1, 6 out of 5 stars. I can't recommend it enough. The battery life is 30 minutes, this is the only drawback, but that's bc I bought the one for a thick rug, if you have a thick rug you need this... but it's so easy to setup, pick it up and go, I find myself just keeping the place a lot cleaner. I have used a less powerful shark one, I got this one on sale for the same price, this got up more, it's meant for pets, so there is a pet cleaning solution. I think this is why the battery life is shorter, but I don't need a corded vacuum or a mop anymore, so overall I'll have less stuff, and the place is cleaner and has less allergens. ... show more

  • Great vacuum — powerful, lightweight and truly wireless freedom
Style: CrossWave OmniForce
This has been one of the best purchases I’ve made. It’s extremely easy to use, and the battery life has impressed me — unlike other vacuums that lose power in a single session, this one keeps going. Even during long cleaning sessions, I’ve never run out of battery after 3 months of use. The cordless design is a huge plus because you can move freely around the house without getting stuck or unplugging anything. If I could improve one thing, it would be the filter capacity. When cleaning the whole house, I usually need to empty the container at least twice. I also wish it came with an accessory to reach smaller or hidden spaces, since its size makes those tighter areas a bit harder to clean. Overall, it’s a great vacuum with excellent performance and battery life. Just a few small upgrades would make it perfect! ... show more

  • Game changer
Style: CrossWave OmniForce
I used this this hard floor cleaner for the first time today. I am very impressed. I have been using the Hoover floormate for years but it is one big heavy machine and my back can't take it anymore. The Floormate also wasn't for wood or vinyl wood floors. the Bissell Crosswave Omniforce can be used on all the floors in my house. The Bissell is cordless so I don't have to wrangle a power cord. The two tank system is the same concept. Cleaning solution in one tank and dirty water goes into the other tank. The battery lasted about 30 minutes. I managed to complete the kitchen floor and a couple of other sections of floor in the house that are high (dirtier) traffic areas. There wasn't a lot of solution deposited but just to be safe, I pushed the solution function off sometimes and just made a few passes of vacuum only over the sealed oak floors for extra dryness. The dirty tank was black with dirt. This is gross, but an old cat puke spot (we have 2 cats) that I hadn't seen before on the wood floor came clean with 1 pass. I ran the battery out and set the machine on the home base and pressed the autoclean cycle and it went through an impressive cycle of cleaning the fluffy floor brush. Be advised, YOU STILL NEED TO EMPTY, RINSE AND DRY THE COMPONENTS (tanks, brush and filter) when you are done. I used the machine for all at once floor cleaning. I could see a problem with cleaning up a spilled bowl of Cheerios and milk, and just setting the machine back on the charging base without cleaning. The machine would get pretty yucky and stinky over time, and maybe even affect its function Overall, this machine makes floor cleaning a breeze. I recommend it. ... show more

  • Best cleaning machine I’ve ever owned
Style: CrossWave OmniForce
I am a cleaning freak, so when I saw how dirty the water was on my hardwood floor, I couldn’t believe it. My floors are nice and bright and shiny. This little machine is easy to assemble, use, and, has great new technology. It is lightweight, has a swivel handle so you can reach under the counters. You can only do small areas at a time because the battery wears down fast if you use the full power. There is a half power and full power setting. I will probably use the half power setting once I get my floors good and clean. Make cleaning simple, easy and fast. ... show more

Great for small spots but then you have to clean the machine so what’s worse I’m mopping a bucket or a machine you think is doing a great job and then you have to take it apart to clean. It seems like more work to me.! I would like Bissell to send me a box so I can send it back and get a refund on that disappointed in it! ... show more
