  • Worked surprisingly well on my gym rubber floor!
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
This is a solid all-in-one floor cleaner that vacuums, washes, and steams at the same time. The HydroSteam feature helps break down sticky messes, grease, and dried-on spills better than a regular wet vac or mop alone, which is especially useful in kitchens or homes with pets and kids. The tangle-free brushroll handles hair well, and the dual-tank system keeps clean solution separate from dirty water so you’re not spreading grime around. Cleaning performance is generally strong on hard floors like tile, sealed wood, and laminate. It picks up dry debris while scrubbing and steaming in one pass, and many users notice floors looking and feeling cleaner than with separate tools. It can refresh low-pile area rugs too, though it’s not a full carpet cleaner. The self-cleaning cycle is convenient and reduces the usual mess of dealing with a dirty brushroll. Drawbacks include the weight (around 12.5 lbs) and bulk, which make it less ideal for long sessions or tight spaces. It’s corded (about 25 ft), so you’re limited by outlet reach. The dirty water tank fills relatively quickly on bigger or messier jobs, and some people find the steam less powerful or consistent than expected for true deep sanitizing. Noise level is noticeable, and edge cleaning isn’t perfect right up against baseboards. Overall, it’s a time-saver if you want one machine for everyday vacuuming + mopping + light steam cleaning on hard floors, particularly if you deal with pet hair, sticky spills, or frequent messes. It’s not the lightest or quietest option and sits at a premium price, but for households that value the 3-in-1 convenience and HydroSteam performance, it delivers well for most people. Worth considering if you’re tired of switching between tools. ... show more

  • Love it-easy to use multiple functions and very easy to clean. Does a very good job on the floor.
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
I have had Bissells for over 15 years so I am familiar with the brand. I have to say, at first use, I love this mop. Normally I vacuum first to get hair, crumbs, litter, etc off the floor then I mop. Since its new, I decided to put it through a few tests. I did not vacuum first. I used both the regular clean cycle and the steam cycle. Very impressed. It cleaned everything, cereal, cat litter, hair, stuck on goo and a bit of grease around the stove. In the future I will clean up the litter first because even though it cleaned it off the floor, anyone with clumping litter knows once it hits water, its like glue in the waste water bucket. At first I was surprised at the small water and waste bins because my last one was twice the size. I thought I would have to empty half way through. I was wrong. It used a lot less water than the old one and did a better job. I didn't even use half the clean water. I also like the clean up. It cleaned the brush very well-the only thing I had to do was use a paper towel to get residual cat litter stuck to the sides where the brush goes. And when you are emptying the waste water bin, there is a little plastic filter at the bottom with a handle so you can pull up all the gunk and put in the trash if you don't want it going down your drain. Very easy to clean! Bissell-this is your best one yet! ... show more

  • A BEAST to tame all beasties!
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
I read a lot of reviews from people with a few pets who were thrilled and honestly, good for them. However, as someone who has 23 cats and 8 dogs, my review is gonna hit a little different. We recently removed our super expensive wood plank LVP and replaced it with sheet vinyl- because, you know, animals. Our biggest problem area has always been in the room with the kittypalooza litter box line up (5 auto boxes in a row), where litter seems to magically spread like glitter on every inch of floor within a 6 foot radius. However, as we have a few special needs cats who are litter box divergent, I usually spend 30 minutes each day on my hands and knees spot cleaning and disinfecting. Don't get me started on hairballs, the inevitable cat vomit and other feline furry "oopsies" BEFORE the dog pack joins the party. All of this to say- we clean our entire downstairs DAILY, if not multiple times a day. That means we need a machine as tough as our desire to have a clean abode. We've blown through Sharks and Tinecos and off-brand machines, left with a blah lackluster feeling of buyer's remorse. So that brings us to the wildly affordable Bissell CrossWave. Once you get used to the settings- and understand how to disperse enough fluid, and how to self-clean the machine after use, this machine is the ONE. Like, put a ring on it, forever kinda one. This bad boy didn't even play hard to get- it just eagerly swallowed things that don't belong in machines 5x the price of the Bissell. And I may be the most impatient soul on the planet (just ask my husband) so I even waited until we had really given this one the business to leave a review. We brought the ULTIMATE challenge and this machine laughed in our faces, mocking us with a "Is this the best you got" kinda 'tude. We are IN LOVE. Tips: Buy the extended warranty. Just do it. Get extra attachments and cleaner- all of them. We wash the roller in the dishwasher every few days and have 4 in rotation at any given time. We change out the filters when we are met with a musty dirty-water smell (about 3 weeks for us, but that comes with the high usage). Don't keep going down the rabbit hole of other machines. If you have pets (whether its one really gross Husky or 42 furry friends), get this NOW. Stop reading. Press "Buy Now" and enjoy the most fulfilling arm movements of your life. ... show more

  • RUN! Do not buy this or anything Bissell - Updated review
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
Update review down to 1 star : Steam function stopped working already and now the solution/water disbursement has completely stopped. Nothin is plugged up, I checked and when you press the button to disperse the solution, it just makes a noise and does nothing!! And of course Bissell said hey, it's no under warranty. Apparently they only honor 3 months. Purchase Date : April 6th : dead in the water : July 13, a whole 7 days past their luxurious warranty. Go buy something else. This is the 2nd one of the Crosswaves I have had. The first one lasted 2 years. I'm done with the Bissell brand. Side note : even my professional carpet cleaner, you know the $500 one, stopped working too after just a year, they honor no warranty on that either. I'll give it 4 stars and here is why. I'll start here, this is replacing my PetPro because I wanted an all in 1 with steamer function for sanitizing my floor and the suction power of the PetPro became lackluster. So, I have tested this on my hardwood floors that are light in color and on my huge area rug that is in the family room that is white and very light grey. I have a Husky that goes in and out all the time so dirt is always tracked in. This got all the dog. hair up off the floors be it hardwood or area rug. I was able to get the dirty paw prints off my very light area rug after a few passes. It's going to leave the area rug damp when you are done just like any other steam cleaner for rugs. The rug wasn't soaked when I was finished. I tested out the steam function. This is why it gets 4 stars. It's a warm steam, not a hot steam so it's not going to properly sanitize your floor. It's also not hot enough to get something that may have smashed and stuck/dried itself to the floor (I was hoping it would, but no it will not). Is it better than my PetPro even when that one was new, yes. It definitely has a stronger suction than the PetPro even when it was new and worked properly. These types of units are only means for surface cleaning and not a deep down clean when it comes to rugs. It'll clean your hardwood just as well as a mop after you have vacuumed or swept your floors. If you wan't to deep clean your rugs with a steam cleaner made for rugs, then you will need a deep cleaner as this is for surface really. I still have mine from when I had carpet in the house so I'm good there. Can you use this as your primary vacuum? No, because there are not extension to attach like a regular vacuum and the suction is about 2/3rds of a normal vacuum. A normal vacuum also allows you to raise and lower the rollers for what type of flooring you are on to get a deeper clean, at least when it comes to rugs/carpet. You cannot do that with this unit and it's not intended to do so. There is nothing currently on the market that takes a regular vacuum cleaner and meshes it with a deep steam cleaner. Look at this as an add on for your house cleaning when you are wanting to do a light cleaning. I do this daily. I steam clean my rugs every month for a deep clean. Not even the Tineco models that cost 3 to 5x the amount of this one will do it all or any better. I did buy a Tineco S7 along with this one so I could compare side by side their abilities and what you really get since I saw them advertised everywhere with mixed reviews. I'm keeping the Bissell and sending the Tineco S7 back because it doesn't do any better of a job than the Bissell IMHO including the steam function. The other brand isn't worth the extra cost even though it seems to be slightly better built. How long will this one last? Who knows as no one makes anything to last more than a few years. If this lasts as long as the PetPro I had at this cost, then fine IMHO. Everything is built to no longer work right as the warranty runs out or perhaps a year after anyways. One last note : Will this leave streaks on your hardwood floors, especially on darker floors, Yes, it will be highly noticeable. I noticed it on my very light floors as the light reflected, so I went over it again without solution to suck up the residual water. It did leave a slight residue on the floor since I was using solution. This is where I get lucky. Since I had the PetPro and the water/solution bottle fits this one too. I went back over the floors with straight water. It got up the residue and I also noticed it didn't leave streaks, so I think the streaking issue has something to do with the solution. I know this has been a long review, but it's an honest one. Use this as a daily cleaning around the house. Use a regular vacuum once a week for deep cleaning. Use an actual Steam cleaner for your rugs for deep cleaning when you wish. I do wish the steam function got hotter than it does, yes! ... show more

  • Pros and cons. Good for maintaining open areas.
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
Over all I love this vacuum/mop. For refrence I have 2 big dogs of which 1 sheds like crazy and I have a dark floor and she happens to be white so you can see all the hairs so I have to vacuum every single day so this is my honest review after 2 weeks of daily use. Pros: Smells amazing after vacuum/mop function. Floor dries pretty quick and remains clean afterwards for a good amount of time. Gives it even a nice shine. Picks up a lot of hair. Self clean function really does clean a lot of the dirt on the brush. Easy to use the different functions. Cons: It is a bit heavy. Does not lay flat so can't use it to get under beds or drawers. I live in a <1000sqft and I have to clean out the container for dirty water 2-3 per use cause loose dog hair clogs it up. It does lift up loose dog hair if it is in a small bunch and you try to approach it but as it falling back down it will suck it in just irritating that it spreads it out and then sucks it. Not good for tighter areas it stays about 1/2" - 1" from edges. At the end I clean my house to much to care for the cons more than the pros. It cleans and does it nicely even with dogs coming in and out all day. Floors stay clean and using it is so simple that to me makes it worth it. ... show more

  • Great floor cleaner
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
I love this vacuum scrubber! I was so excited to try it, I set it up and started scrubbing the floor before I realized there was a piece of cardboard under the brush. It steams the floor very nice as it cleans. The tray inside the dirty water tank is very effective at catching hairs from people and pets. The instructions are a little harder to understand for figuring out what button does what, but after I looked at it a little more closely, I finally figured it out. The cord is quite long, and isn’t too difficult to maneuver around. The unit isn’t what I’d call heavy, it is lighter than my standup standard vacuum. Cleanup is pretty easy, I do recommend removing the cover from the brush, then remove the brush itself, and wipe the edges where the brush sits with a damp paper towel to remove any remaining dirt, grime or hairs. ... show more

  • Leaves edges and corners dirty
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
Works decent but honestly more hassle than it’s worth. It doesn’t go to the edges so you still have to mop either way. A little hard to clean it and sometimes it leaves streaks on the floor if you hold the trigger too much

  • Must have for pet homes!
Style: HydroSteam Deluxe
I have been hesitant to get a vacuum mop combo due to the fear the something trying to be both would actually not be good at either. I found this one as a Prima Day deal, and decided I would give it a try because it was a great value. I am happy to report that it works very well. I have all hardwood in my home and with multiple pets, it is hard to get the floors really clean. It doesn't take away the need for a regular vacuum, because my four pets give off a lotttt of fur! But, even after vacuuming the floors still feel dirty. This steam mop did an amazing job picking up everything the vacuum left behind. My floors finally felt sanitized! It is a surprisingly light machine and the corded feature means you never have to worry about battery dying. This floor cleaner is a must have! ... show more
