  • When your cleaning routine needs muscle and magic—this one delivers.
Style: CrossWave HydroSteam Deluxe
The media could not be loaded. I used my first Bissell CrossWave for over 7 years, and I’m using this one daily. If you’ve got pets, kids, or just high standards for clean—this is absolutely worth it. This machine is a powerhouse. I’ve got a crew of long-haired German Shepherds and the BISSELL HydroSteam handles our daily mess like it was born for this job. The suction? Chef’s kiss. Powerful, consistent, and clearly more effective because it’s not battery-operated—which, let’s be real, is exactly what I want when I’m not in the mood to wrestle with fur tumbleweeds. Water retention is excellent—no puddles left behind—and the spray function is super precise, so you're not wasting solution or over-soaking the floor. Storage tank capacity is just right for a solid clean without constant refills or dumps, even when I’m deep-cleaning high-traffic areas. Setup was a breeze, and while it’s a little on the heavier side, I’ll take durable, solid construction over something flimsy that’s gonna fall apart. The self-cleaning feature is helpful, but let’s be honest—you still need to empty and rinse it properly if you want it to stay fresh. And the cherry on top? Every BISSELL purchase helps support the BISSELL Pet Foundation and its mission to help save homeless pets. 🐾 ... show more

  • This machine wins my top cleaning spot
Style: CrossWave HydroSteam
I live on a farm with two big dogs, three kids, and two cats—so let’s just say its dirty over here. I’ve been a die-hard fan of the original green Bissell CrossWave for years. It was the only thing that could keep my deep-grooved floors clean. But the new Bissell CrossWave HydroSteam has officially taken first place in my cleaning lineup. What I Love: Steam + Mop + Vacuum = Game Changer. With the green CrossWave, I used to steam and mop to get my floors really clean. Now I only need one machine. The steam loosens the grime from my textured floors and the vacuum/mop function clears it all away. I included a picture of the side by side of the original and the steam. Waste tank design is smarter. The mesh divider lets me scoop out hair and gunk without clogging up the drain. Self-cleaning mode is a dream. Cleaning the original CrossWave was kind of a pain. This one makes cleanup quick and easy. I think it does a good job cleaning too because I don't get the smell I use to get with the green one. Ive even been cleaning up dog pee with it and no smell. Looks and feels more durable. The black and gold design is sleek, and the machine just feels sturdier and better made. Room to Improve: I wish I could turn the steam on/off independently from the mop solution. Sometimes I just want to steam without laying down more cleaner. It would be great to have separate tanks for steam water and cleaning solution instead of combining them and steaming cleaner. The light stays on when it’s plugged in, which means I unplug it when not in use—minor, but worth mentioning. Overall: I’m seriously excited about this machine. It makes daily cleanup faster and more effective, and it’s strong enough to tackle muddy paw prints and spilled snacks in one pass. If you’re debating between the original and the steam version—go for this one. It’s absolutely worth it. Easier clean up. Faster. Sleeker. I love this thing. ... show more

  • A true all-in-one!
Style: CrossWave HydroSteam Deluxe
It definitely saves time and is truly an all in one! Our home is all hard floors with wood and tile. It cleans it well and picks up dog hair, debris, and even dried washable paint with a few continuous passes. I do have to wipe out the dog hair from the roller cover a couple times but can keep going. We have area rugs and throw rugs and it does a great job giving them a nice refresh. It does not clean grout lines super well (but I don't think anything does other than a good ole scrub by hand). I wish it had a hose attachment to get hard to reach areas. We have a couple shag rugs and it doesn't do a great job on those, but low pile rugs it does fine. Overall, happy with the purchase and would do it again! ... show more

  • This thing is a GEM once you figure it out
Style: CrossWave HydroSteam
I was at the END OF MY ROPE with my floors being constantly dirty. With 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 husband, I just couldn't keep up. By the time I'd get them vacuumed and find time to mop, they'd be dirty again. We don't typically waste money on things like this, so I debated for a long time, and did a lot of shopping, and read a lot of reviews before I finally pulled the trigger on this model. TOTALLY WORTH IT. I did get it on sale on Black Friday, so that helped soften the blow. Pros: -Easy to operate, there's only like 3 buttons total, so its pretty easy to figure out, even for a blonde like me -Does a pretty decent job at cleaning my multiple floor types (vinyl, hard wood, area rugs, and tile). Are they as clean as a good old fashioned hands and knees scrub? No. But ain't nobody got time for that. -It picks up the dog hair without getting clogged -Refreshes area rugs without leaving them sopping wet -Self-cleaning function is WAY better than previous models, you just sit it onto the base tray and push the button -You can use whatever cleaning solution tickles your fancy, you aren't forced to buy their branded refills (ahem, Swiffer). This is nice for the crunchier families that aim for more natural/plant based products. Cons: -This thing is LOUD. Like, blender loud. Not a dealbreaker for me, but if you're planning to clean the floors after your kid is asleep, something to be aware of. -Dirty water tank holds a very small amount compared to the clean tank, so you will need to dump the dirty water multiple times during your cleaning session. Annoying, but whatever. I saw some reviews complaining about the machine leaving dirty water streaks, thats because their dirty tank is too full. Took me one time to figure that out, easy fix. -There isn't a trigger lock, so if you are cleaning large areas, your finger will get tired from holding down the trigger (first world problem here, but worth mentioning) -It is bulky. Obviously, it has to be to have room for the motor, and both the clean and dirty tanks, but compared to my stick vac, it is heavier, not as easy to maneuver, and doesn't get under the furniture. Wasn't a surprise, I knew what I was buying. Size compares to your standard bagless model. -Cleaning it out when you're done using it is totally gross if you live with heathens like I do. You do have to still take it all apart and rinse it, clean out the parts, let the roller dry, and wipe up any dirt left in the tray after the self clean cycle. Even with adding on the clean up time, I am still saving time overall compared to vacuuming and mopping in two separate steps. Overall, very happy with this model, the pros outweigh the cons for our family and needs. Is it perfect, no, and I'm sure they're working on a new model that will address some of these gripes, but thats how technology works. ... show more
