I hate that it won’t stand up on its own, and the head of the vacuum has no stiffness so tipping the vacuum up to clean something isn’t an option. Had to replace my old stick vacuum and decided wit 4 pets inside, I needed one designed for pets. This was a great choice! I was amazed on how well and how much more pet hair was picked up. Not only on the floors but using the attachments for furniture made such a difference. I would recommend this for anyone that has more than 1 inside pet. ... show more

    • Need a latch to stand up!
When you are done sweeping the sweeper will not latch to stand up! You have to lay it down on the floor! Not particle for someone with back problems!

    • I Wanted to Love It, But I'm Torn
Recently bought, used 3x now. I went corded because everything I'm reading about cordless vacs suggest that battery issues will begin in 3-4 years. We keep things a very long time, so I wanted to ensure longevity. I didn't love the colors of this model, but it seemed smarter to buy the newer model even though it's ugly red and no longer the lime green. Pros: It's not as lightweight as the Featherlights, but even for someone like me with shoulder issues, it's still light enough to easily lift it off the wall mount and not feel tired carrying it about. It does a great job getting every little spec from our hard floors (vinyl plank flooring). Maneuverability is unparalleled. It's so easy to change direction on a dime. It's low to the ground, so I love that I can get it under things I couldn't with our full-sized vacuum. It does a great job on all of our throw rugs, and performing best on tightly-woven ones. Cons: Our living room area rug has higher pile, so I flip to the rug mode (so the brush spins) and it definitely requires great effort to move it along. I worry I'm going to burn the motor out doing that, so I try to be fast. I'd never attempt using this in our carpeted rooms - it suctions way too hard and I feel like doing a whole room would ruin the unit. So, that means I have to ALSO keep our Bissell regular upright vacuum (which I was planning to sell for cheap to save space). Don't get me wrong, it makes the area rug cleaner than I've seen it other than brand new. It just doesn't feel like it was made for that. Other big cons: Stick vacuums like this do not freestand on their own. If you have to stop to move something, you must lean this. I thought it wouldn't bother me, but as my first stick vacuum, it really does. Something about the cord wrap placement annoys me too. It seems like it's in the way a ton more than what cords are for my other vacuums, and always seems like it's falling off when I don't want it to. Also, converting to handheld is not easy - you have to fully unwrap the cord to do so, which is poor engineering. That in itself is a big discouragement to even use that feature, so it defeats the purpose of having it be convertible. If I'd been able to try before buying, I think I'd keep looking. Too late now, but it at least performs well enough to earn its keep. Maybe I'll get used to some of the quirks over time. ... show more

    • Very hard to use
I bought this vacuum because of Bissell's policy of advocating for animals. This is absolutely the worst stick vacuum I've used. The start button is so hard to push - many times I have to use a knife to get it to release. It's a real struggle to convert to a hand-held vacuum - it takes several minutes just to get it to release and unattach. There is no hose for reaching places above your head or beyond your reach, and holding the hand-held for this is not comfortable because it's so heavy. It isn't power-driven so you have to really push it on carpet and now it squeaks constantly when I do. It does have good suction and has held up well, I'll give it that, but that doesn't outweigh the other inconveniences. ... show more

vacuum hose tears very easily, can't find a replacement. So vacuum is a total loss. Don't waste your money
