I got this to replace my Bissell powerlifter pets vacuum. The piece that locks it upright broke, but I've had it for 5 years, so I can't complain about it lasting. I used it almost every other day due to having 2 long haired dogs. First, I really don't see any difference in Bissell vacuums that are branded with " pets" on them and this new one. They both have turbo brush tools on them and that is one of the reasons I only give this 4 stars and not 5. The pet version has rubber flaps on it instead of bristles as this new one has. They both suffer due to the fact that they are driven by suction and therefore, when you press them against something, they stop spinning. You have to use a super light touch and sometimes it doesn't pick up all the embedded hair. The only other issue with this new vacuum, the handle is composed of two separate pieces of plastic, you can see half is red and half black, when pushing it around, the handle flexes a bit, and you can feel it seperating slightly, like it's gonna pinch your skin. An easy fix with some foam wrapped around the handle but non the less an annoyance at first. This vacuum is way lighter than the powerlifter it replaced, and although it appeared my old one was picking up good, the cleanview picked up a ton of stuff a day after using the old one. It seems to have a better, one piece filter than the old one. The old one had the filter at the bottom of the canister and it always overflowed and clogged that 2 piece filter up. This one empties a lot easier also, it empties from the bottom instead of the top . There is a second filter on this at the bottom where the air is output. I don't beleive it's a true HEPA filter as there was no mention in the description, unless I totally missed it, of this model having a HEPA filter on it. None the less, it still makes the exhaust air smell fresh. The small issues I listed aren't deal breakers and this unit works great especially for the price. There is one issue that ALMOST was a deal breaker and that's that the brush doesn't stop turning when using the hose. I Burt up a section fmy carpet slightly due to this dumb design flaw. I literally have to have my wife tilt the unit back and hold it while I'm using the hose for anything to avoid this. Due to the longetivity and being happy with my last Bissell, it swayed me too dust deal with that little issue.

I bought this based on price and reviews. I have a few area rugs but mostly hardwoods. But cats and lots of hair etc. We have an older shark navigator. It’s been great. Zero Issues in 6+ yrs Bought this for a 2nd house. Tried at home to compare. It’s lighter. Kind fragile feeling plastic. Only 2 screws hold The upper handle on. Not sure how these will hold up if you carry the vac a lot, like up n down stairs. You have to adjust the height for bare floors to deep carpet If you don’t, you can hear it working harder. It sucks pretty well and doesn’t scatter on bare floors. The number 2 height is lower than 1. Odd. The upholstery attachment will lose power/spin action easily so you can’t hold it totally flat. My shark doesn’t at all. The tilt release and power step buttons are big, but again seem flimsy/fragile. Time will tell. It’s sucked up a lot of carpet dirt/ hairs and cleaned hardwoods well. It empties easily. The release tan is just a plastic pressure tab. I expect It to break after awhile. For $100, I would expect a better build. But that’s by default. It’s works well, not super duper amazing. But it will probably break in multiple places before it fails. I’ll update in the future. It’s bright colors look ‘fun’ :)

I’ve had a shark for years LOVED it. BUT after using this I’ll never go back. It picks up more then my shark ever could. I had my doubts given the cost but I am beyond happy I bought it. It not only picked up my messy child’s meals that ended up on the floor but it also got the glitter that the neighbor kid thought would be funny to throw EVERYWHERE. I honestly thought it would never come up. Now, to get the glitter I had to put it on its highest setting (meant for longer carpet) but really, how big of a deal is that? As for the “chunkier” pieces (cereal, goldfish etc) I did have to lift it a bit so it could grab it because it has such a low ”entrance” area (honestly don’t know what to call it) but really, that’s a good thing because it’s closer to getting it all right? All in all I was looking for something that could withstand my children and the neighbor kids and so far I’m ecstatic.
