I found my 75 foot hose easy to connect and the nozzle is quite nice from jet to wide spray use. I easily cleaned my outside windows with the jet and watered my garden with the spray. I have the hose wound on a staked half-moon holder that fits it fine but found I needed to pay attention to each circle of the hose to have it sit properly. Easy to unwind without catching on itself and getting easier to rewind with use. Haven’t had the item long enough to rate durability.

I think the premise of this hose is pretty good but I did decide to return it before I could test out long-term durability. I was super lightweight and easy to maneuver. However, I really missed having the flow rate of what you'd find in traditional hoses. One thing that was a little disappointing was the listing of "5/8in" diameter. The hose definitely did not have that as the inner diameter so the flow rate was restricted. I tested it out on a five-gallon bucket. My traditional hose filled the bucket in 40 seconds. This hose took about 65 seconds. If you're OK with that flow rate, this is a great product and I'd highly recommend it. Especially for general-purpose gardening.

I'm a gardener and use my hoses nearly every day. I love my current lightweight Zero G, but decided to try this and I love this Bionic Steel hose way more - it's my new favorite! It is very lightweight, so easy to drag around and it just glides around everything like a slippery snake. It doesn't snag on stuff like the edge of a stepping stone because it's so firm and slippery, it just pulls on past it like nothing is there. It NEVER kinks and is so fun to pull around. It is very quiet when sliding across the concrete driveway and over flagstones - I thought it would be loud, create a racket and have everyone wondering what the racket is - but it's silent, just like my old hose. Water pressure is the same as the old hose. I LOVE it. The only part I worry about is the black plastic threaded piece on the end of the hose. If this black plastic piece weathers in the sun and eventually cracks, like plastic can, then the whole hose will need to be replaced. I wish the end pieces were made of metal or rubber because if that plastic breaks relatively quickly, I'll have to change my rating later. The company should guarantee those pieces against breakage for a much longer period than 1 year. Most items don't break in 1 year, I'd expect this hose to last 3-5 years, which should be the warranty on those plastic ends. Till then, it's fabulous and I highly recommend it!

I have bought several different water hoses lately and I always read the reviews and try to research carefully before I make my choices on products. I don't write a lot of reviews and I am never rewarded for my feedback. The Bionic Steel 50ft garden hose has proven to be the best water hose to suit all my needs so far. It's amazingly lightweight, super flexible and easy to handle. It does not leak on either end when filled with water and the nozzle works great. I haven't had any luck with all the other so called miracle self winding pocket hoses that are advertised on TV and they never last when I use my pressure washer. The Bionic Steel hose really seems to be made of commercial grade heavy duty material. I also purchased a 50ft Briggs and Stratton 100% black rubber garden hose and it was very heavy and non flexible. I exchanged it here on Amazon for the same hose in 25ft and it is still too heavy and very hard to wind up. It tangles up in a mess even in hot weather. I have arthritis in my hands and I really appreciate having a great dependable, easy to handle, lightweight water hose. I also love the way the Bionic Steel 50ft hose does not take up much space at all in my garage and has great water pressure flow.

First, it's not an expandable hose - it expands a bit in diameter but not in length. If you order 100 foot, you'll get 100 foot of hose. However, it's so much lighter than a traditional garden hose and so much easier to roll up on a hose reel that it fills much of the benefits of an expandable hose. If you don't have a reel and only have limited space to store your hose, this might not be for you. Second, it has all the water pressure of a traditional hose. Third, it drains in the time of a traditional hose, whereas an expandable takes a while to drain when you're done. I cannot speak to durability since I've only owned the hose for a week. Overall, I'm thrilled with this hose, and I bought it thinking it was expandable. Thus I was disappointed when it arrived, but so glad I gave it a shot anyway. The ease of use on a hose reel plus the water pressure and drainage sealed the deal for me.

For years, I had “non-kinking” rubber hoses, which of course, kinked all the time. They also were very difficult to unwind and rewind on hose reels. I bought one of these metal hoses, along with a new cord reel that has a “guide” on it (I tried to take a picture for this review, and couldn’t get it to work). Oh my gosh, it was incredible! Not only did it not kink, it was ridiculously easy to unwind and rewind on the reel. In fact, I didn’t have to unwind the hose that I needed “straight” from the reel so I could pull the hose to the side and water plants. Nope, just grab the end of the hose and walk whatever direction you wish. It unwinds without any problem at all. Rewinding is the same effortless work. Needless to say, I purchased two more hoses and bought two more reels with guides. You won’t regret this purchase at all.

I am still surprised by how light this hose is. For a 100 ft hose of quality this one is easy to move around and to store. The most annoying aspect of cheap hoses to me is the tendency to kink. So I always bought commercial grade hoses that are advertised as kink-free. However, those are much heavier and once in a while still kink. This one by construction is virtually impossible to kink! I'm not sure about durability but I'll figure out in the next year or so.
