This review is for the Akhal-Teke hitch bike rack platform. I did just finish putting it together in my living room. So far I’m saying 5 star because it seems to be very well built. Price I feel is okay. My only complaint (as others have said). The instructions to put the pieces together are poorly done. It is not in anyway ready out of the box. Pictures of pieces are small as well as diagrams. Yeah I’m old - had to pull out a magnifying glass to be able to kind of see what was there. I think the manufacturer needs to definitely improve on the size of diagrams and details of instructions. But overall I’m good with this bike rack. (If there are any issues with using I will update this review)

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this bike rack for weekend trips and it’s worked out really well. It was easy to set up and attaches securely to my 2-inch hitch. I carry both my fat tire bike and my partner’s regular mountain bike—no wobbling at all, even on the highway. The tilt function makes it simple to access the trunk without removing the bikes, which is super handy when loading gear. I also appreciate that it folds up neatly when not in use. It saves a lot of space in the garage and doesn’t get in the way. The whole structure feels solid and durable. It gives me confidence to carry heavy bikes without worrying. Great for anyone who wants a stable and easy-to-use rack.

It took me a long time to install, over two hours. And I don't understand number "20" on the instructions... the answer to this is part of the pictures on Amazon!!! It is secure, does not move to badly and I would highly recommend. I do believe this is heavy duty enough to handle 180lbs. My concerns are... I like to install my bike rack only when I use it, but you need to unbolt the U joint each time??!! For the price, it is still well worth it, IMHO. Also, when there are no bike racks, the bar still stops my Trunk from opening. That bar does have an adjustment to go down. I have not driven yet with the rack in the up position but I am sure it will happen soon. This is my first bike rack.

I really liked the overall look and quality of this bike hitch rack when it arrived. The color was great and looked really clean on the back of my vehicle. It felt sturdy and well made right out of the box. What I liked: • The color looks great and isn’t overly bulky • Feels solid and durable • Installation was straightforward What could be better: • It sat a little too high on the back of my car On my vehicle, the rack positioned the bikes higher than I expected, which affected the overall fit for me. Because of that, I decided to return it. I don’t think it’s a quality issue — just something to double check depending on your vehicle’s hitch height and rear design. Overall, it seems like a well-made rack, but I’d recommend measuring and considering how it will sit on your specific car before purchasing.

I like the style of the bike rack, it fits nicely on my jeep. Unfortunately I've had is less than two weeks, it's rained twice and the rack has rust on almost every weld spot. It's a shame that they put such a thin layer of paint that it has begun to rust so quickly. I found some rust-oleum paint that is pretty close and repainted all those areas with a good protective layer of paint. I would have returned it but I had already disposed of all the packing materials. Let's see how long it survives! 😢
