I know others have said this was easy to assemble. But please keep in mind. This comes flat packed. There is a lot of installation. And a trick that I did not find out until I had put every piece together except the last one and it didn’t work. On step two you put the spring piece onto the two chair arm sides. on three corners there is one bolt hole and on one corner there are two bolt holes. Make sure you put the two bolt holes together and the rest of the chair isn’t that hard. Unfortunately, I thought they made a mistake so I put a one bolt hole with a two bolt hole and I’m telling you it does not work that way.

Let me just start by saying: after 40+ years of marriage, I’ve learned that sometimes you have to strategically decorate to get your way—and this ottoman was my secret weapon. My spouse and I are both retired, living with our four rescue dogs (who think our furniture belongs entirely to them) and a recently adopted African Grey parrot who, much like the dogs, feels entitled to every surface in the house. Our once-beautiful gigantic sectional—originally bought for our previous, larger home—now looks like something a cat dragged in, slept on, and abandoned out of pity. I’ve been hinting for ages that it’s time for a new, smaller sectional, preferably in my favorite light beige/white tones. In fact, I've already had my heart set on a smaller sectional couch, in beige/white corduroy, and ironically sold by Amada. My spouse, naturally, insists that dark colors like brown, black or green “hide dirt better.” (Clearly he’s never met our dogs’ daily shedding routine.) I, on the other hand, at 70, am a lifelong believer that light colors make everything look brighter, fresher, and cleaner—plus they give me endless decorating flexibility. When I get bored, which happens often, I just swap out throw pillows, rugs, or curtains and—voilà!—brand new room, same husband. So when I got the chance to receive this Amanda Homefurnishings Corduroy Ottoman through Amazon Vine, in the perfect beige/white shade, I might’ve done a little happy dance—well, a mental one, since my rheumatoid arthritis limits actual dancing. I figured, why not start small? After all, if we already have a beige ottoman, we’ll need a matching beige sectional, right? (See where I’m going with this?) The ottoman arrived quickly and was so well-packed I thought they’d sent the wrong thing. Then I opened it and—poof!—it expanded like a magic marshmallow. No tools, no assembly, no drama. Just unbox, unwrap, and expand. My kind of project. And wow, the quality! It’s filled with impressively thick, high-density foam that’s firm yet soft—like sitting on a supportive cloud. The corduroy fabric is beautifully textured, irresistibly soft, and best of all, pet-friendly (which is vital in our household zoo). It’s stain-resistant, pill-resistant, and so durable that even our parrot’s “furniture explorations” haven’t left a mark. We will mostly be usein it as a footrest, but it easily doubles as extra seating, a coffee table, or even a tray base for books, flowers, and flameless candles. It’s the perfect size, stylishly modern, and somehow manages to make our living room look instantly more elegant—despite the canine chaos and the ugly old couch awaiting its long overdue replacement. When my spouse first saw it, he gave me that sideways look that said, “I know exactly what you’re up to.” But the minute he sat down, put his feet up, and sighed with contentment, I knew I’d won. He loves it. The dogs love it. The parrot loves it. And now, guess who’s shopping for a matching beige sectional? Excellent quality, smart price, ridiculously comfortable, and sneakily effective for getting your way—what more could a woman want? This Forest Green ottoman is one of five I’ve purchased from this brand, and just like the others, it came vacuum-sealed and I know it will puff up within seconds of opening the package. It’s always impressive how quickly these take shape — no effort needed on my part. The color is absolutely beautiful in person, a deep, earthy green with a soft corduroy texture that instantly makes the space feel cozy. Even though I haven’t put this one in my living room just yet, that’s where it’s headed — I specifically chose two green ottomans to create a cozy, low-profile lounging area for our small apartment. I’ve already been using two of the other colors side-by-side in our living room, and they’ve completely transformed the space. This Seaweed Green will replace the gray ottoman I have in my living room (from this brand) and once I move it in, it’s going to add the perfect natural, calming tone to the room while giving us even more room to stretch out. The gray is moving to my daughter’s room. What makes these ottomans such a hit in our home is that they’re super functional without being bulky. Our original couch ottoman was just too large for our apartment and is now stored away. These new ones are sturdy enough to sit or lay on, and they hold their shape beautifully even under pressure — including when my kids jump all over them! My kids absolutely love these. They use them for jumping, climbing, lounging, and even as part of their obstacle course games. I’ve used two of them as a giant lounging space for family movie nights with our projector, and the Seaweed Green will add even more room for everyone to spread out. Another major perk is how easy they are to move. I’m not particularly strong, but I can easily lift and reposition them as needed — which is huge when I’m cleaning or rearranging for different activities. The bottom has a flat, non-slip base that keeps it from sliding around, and the zippered cover means I can wash it if needed. I always mention this in my reviews because it matters: these ottomans are great for casual use, including plates or trays if you want to eat while lounging. But they’re not stable for drinks unless you use a tray — cups and bottles can tip over. This one hasn’t been “broken in” by the kids yet since it hasn’t reached its spot in the living room, but I already know it’s going to be just as loved as the others. Between the cozy color, quality construction, and functionality, these ottomans have completely changed how we use our space — and made it so much more inviting.
