Got the 8' Round, Ivory & Silver rug to match another area rug from SAFAVIEH (which is a great brand). Compared to some similar priced round rugs, this one feels softer and less cheap. Thickness is as expected and great for a dining room set. It evened out enough within 24-48 hours after rolling out - granted I did place heavier chairs on the edges. Unlike other reviews, it did not come folded, which made rolling it out significantly easier. Lastly, I did order a rug pad to help with padding and not worry about any slipping. Okay, so I'm torn on this rug. It's a good value, I got a 6x9 for $98. The quality is good enough for this price point, it's on the thin side and there are some crinkles in the middle of the carpet I'm trying to smooth away, but it's soft to walk on (compared to hardwood) and seems well constructed over all. There was a slight smell upon unwrapping it, but by now (next day) it's already dissipated a lot and I don't foresee it being an issue. The thing I'm torn over is the visual effect of the rug. I got the ivory/silver - and it's CLOSE to the pics on the listing, but not exact. And when you're shopping for a large area rug to match your home decor, you want exact. The photos on the listing show it to be a much slighter and more delicate design than real life. Online it looks mostly white/ivory with whisps of silver/gray. In reality, the gray is very prominent, and as other reviews noted, it goes from dense gray on one side to wispier gray on the other. This gradient effect IMO is not highlighted in the product listing and it should be. For some designs/layouts this might work, but for my use (living room rug) it adds a slightly uneven/offsided feel to the room. Lastly - it may be because my last living room was a dark chocolate brown, but I feel very paranoid about getting this rug dirty. It might be in my head, but I've already noticed a couple little dark smudges, so hoping it is not super prone to showing every little bit of dirt. That will make cleaning/maintenance a pain. If it is a huge issue when I do clean it, I'll come back to update this review. Returning a big rug like this would be a hassle, to say the least, so I will probably wind up keeping it. I like the overall aesthetic, I was looking for a light rug to brighten up the space, and it does that - in retrospect, I just may have gone with something a little more subtle/creamier than something with such a stark gray design. ... show more

Looks great and doesn’t slip on my floor. I thought I might need an anti-skid underlayer but it’s not necessary. I do have two chairs sitting on the ends of it, which admittedly help hold it in place without having it slip. I love that it’s thin enough that I can wash it when I need to, while providing just enough texture that it feels good to my bare feet. Exactly the level I needed without being too plush. Extra plush would feel good on my toes, but would make it hard to launder. The abstract design is pleasant. Attractive without sticking out or attracting the eye too much. The rug is fine, but nothing to write home about. Looks a little cheap in person, but is inexpensive, so that's no great sin. Dispite being quite thin, it did not want to flatten out, even with weight on it, and when it did, it was no longer quite round - it protrudes at the edge in some spaces and is a little flat in others. I have it in a kind of "man cave" space so it doesn't matter, but if this were put in an area where it was meant to be more presentable, I'd be disappointed. ... show more

    • Good area rug for putting beneath an office chair to spare your carpet

Got this rug to put under my office chair, to spare the new wall-to-wall rug that was just laid. There is not a real deep pad under the W2W carpet (8lb) then this area rug doesn't have a deep knap, so it's fine for wheeling on. Not slick like a plastic mat which I did not want as they kind of ruin the rug underneath, in my experience, and are too squirrelly. I've had this area rug now a couple weeks rolling around on it (spend all day in my LaZBoy office chair) and the rug still looks good, and when I pull it up to vacuum beneath, the carpet under the rug looks untouched and pristine. This area rug is also super soft. For my needs it fit the bill perfectly and am very happy with it. ... show more
