I received the umbrella stand but it was missing a part. I emailed Best Choice Products (BCP) and they responded quickly. I was told that they could not send me just the missing part as I had requested, but they would send me a new umbrella stand for our deck. In addition, there was no need to return the original stand and no charge to me. Sure enough, I just received a new stand with all of the parts at no charge. It took about 1.5 weeks for all of this to take place--from my original email to BCP until I received the new stand. I felt that I could not have asked for better service--and I feel that in today's world, it is very unusual to have this type of service. In addition to customer service being excellent, the umbrella stand is very sturdy and practical. The wheels help and setting it up is easy. Filling it with water as I did anchors the stand so that I trust our umbrella is secure. It is perfect for some summer outdoor living. Great company and great product.

I initially ordered this so we could have a second umbrella on the patio. Within 5 minutes of opening it, I knew I had to order a second one to replace the one we had no intention of replacing. It's so nice. It's incredibly sturdy. We had some wind yesterday that I never would have considered opening the umbrella up in, but we gave it a try anyway and it was solid. Not a single wobble or hint that it might fall over. My old stand never would have held the umbrella up in that wind. We filled it with water, but I might swap that out for sand before winter. The hole to fill it is a generous size, so you don't even need to take the nozzle off the hose to fill and there would be no difficulty pouring sand inside though a funnel would probably be helpful. The wheels are really convenient. Despite this thing being pretty heavy, you can move it around with ease and lock the wheels when it's in place. The base is large enough to put a small fan on for my dog laying under the umbrella. Assembly was a breeze. Had it put together and filled in under 15 minutes. Worth every penny.

This is our second purchase of this wonderful solution to mooring an umbrella safely on our deck and having it moveable as well. You fill it with water, place the umbrella pole into the unit, and secure it with the two sturdy screws that hold it firmly in two sections of the pole, not just one. We have two tiltable umbrellas for our deck in these umbrella stands, so we want that tiltable feature to have the benefit of a rollable stand to manage the Earth's and the Sun's dances in the late afternoon when our west-facing guests find the setting sun makes things a challenge. Just wheel this stand with its umbrella into a new area from time time, and you can solve the waning sunlight problems with ease. Empty the stand before the frosts come and refill it when the winter freezes are over. There are brakes on the wheels for stability. Sometimes the drainage gaps in a wooden deck will catch the wheels, but that's easy to overcome with a push and guidance of he wheels. It's a great product. I'd buy it again, if we need a third umbrella.

Keep reading below for updates 9/2020 This umbrella holder is bigger than I expected and it glides around the concrete so nicely! I had bought one over the summer from Lowes for the same price. This is 10x nicer and easier to push around. I didn't fill it with sand or water yet but it's sturdy enough to hold the umbrella even empty. Next summer I will fill it with water. 5/24/21 update: It leaks from one of the wheels. I bought this in September and did not add water until the following Spring. I added water for the first time and was disappointed to see that it leaked. In speaking with the company for a solution I was told there is nothing they can do and it is outside of the Return/warranty time period. I would caution anyone buying this to fill it with water asap unless you plan on using pea stones or sand. Update 6/1/2022 I added silicone caulk near wheel base that was leaking and that seemed to help for the whole summer. One year later it does leak again so I will have to touch up the silicone. Overall I think it’s a decent product aside from the water leaking out. I actually bought another one of these because it glides so easily around our pool so now we have two. Price went up another $10! So is $20 more than first purchase. Update 8/7/23 We have 5 umbrellas at our pool and deck. I now have 3 of these bases! I need bases that roll because the sun beats on our seating area all day. Being able to move the umbrellas to follow the sun is necessary. I have not found another base that rolls as nicely. Bonus was the price dropped. Only one base leaked water but the other two were fine. Update 7/5/25 We still use this but it doesn’t roll any longer and the bottom is all rusty so it leaves rust juice on the concrete which leaves a stain. I had to buy another umbrella stand this summer and chose a different brand

I purchased this to go with an oversized (11 Ft.) patio umbrella. Product arrived safely packaged and on time, was easy for 1-person setup. Appreciate that it's easy to move around but also has breaks to keep in place. I used sand (purchased at hardware store) to fill it instead of water, that way there would be no risk of leaking or evaporation. Has held up well this summer through a couple of AZ monsoons.
