  • It's an entry level hitch rack that works OK
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
The bikes are pretty tight together and it is difficult to get them to fit well without rubbing. It works, but could be better. It's a little bouncy, but I think they all are. If I had to do it over again I would go for a higher end model to allow for more room and better straps.

  • Wobbly on a hitch, bikes are a struggle to fit when loading.
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
We have three bicycles; beach cruiser, city/retro style and a kids, 20 inch wheel bike. It is a bit of a struggle to Tetris fit these three bikes onto this rack, adjusting for the handlebar and pedal placement to make sure they all don't knock into each other. The rack is also very wobbly once all three bikes are on it. Granted it is quite a bit of weight on there with the three bike and I have only a 1" hitch receiver on my car. I don't trust it with all that weight and the way it wobbles up and down on every bump. I have to take it VERY gingerly and do not dare to go anywhere far with it loaded, only to our local park which is about 5-10 minutes away. I did purchase an additional strap with a flat hook on the end of it that I slide under the trunk and attach the strap to this rack to stabilize it a little bit. It helps with the up/down wobble, but I still don't trust it to go anywhere too far. Overall it is usable for what it is, but I just don't trust it. ... show more

  • Does NOT tilt down!!!
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
I ordered this platform rack after reading reviews and really wanting this type of rack. It’s made of strong steel and assembly was straight forward. Did not take long and once put together, I agree with other reviewers that it is a decent rack for the money. I was looking at Thule or 1UP platform racks, but rather than spend $700-800 dollars on theirs(now I can use more of that money towards a newer bike), this rack looks like it will work just fine. It wobbled some at first, but after retightening all the bolts it felt more secure. With the bikes on, it developed some wobble but that was due to the weight of the bikes just shifting. On the highway it was steady and even on highway seams and speed bumps it only shook minimally. Now for the gripes. The biggest is it’s described on Amazon to have the “tilt down” function so that you don’t have to unload the bikes off the rack to access the rear hatch. If you are just going from home to trail and back again I don’t imagine it would be a big deal, but if you were multitasking and running errands after a ride and needed to put something in the back, you’d find in frustrating to have to unload to access the hatch. I will most likely keep the rack and not send it back since Covid has made getting anything take forever, and overall I am happy with its design and function. Some other petty gripes; there is no security feature to the rack. The bikes are secured to the rack with straps, no way to lock them so a bike lock or cable with a lock will need to be used. The straps used to secure the wheels to the cups are Velcro. I’d prefer that they were cinch straps like the straps that you use to secure the bike to the upright bar. I imagine the Velcro will wear out quick with dirt and grime after awhile. The upright bars do not lock into a folded down position. Once you unload your bikes and want to fold up the rack out of the way, the upright bars fold down, then you fold the whole platform up towards your vehicle. The upright bars after awhile will slowly work their way towards the back of you car and their metal rubbing against your vehicle. You can secure it with the straps that you use for the bikes, but just seems like there should have been something designed to “lock” them in place. Overall, good rack for the money, but one MAJOR and couple of minor cons kept me from giving it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Good Enough
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
This is not the most sturdy rack out there. Honstly I would not want to use this on a long trip, but for moving bikes to an from the trail it does the job. Personally, I would not trust it if I had a very expensive bike or a heavy e bike

  • Lightweight but Functional
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
There are a lot of reviews about the sturdiness of this rack - it held up fine to our 3 bikes for 2 hour long drives across mixed roads - it does feel lightweight though and I kept watching for an issue - will update after we use it more.

  • Exceeded Expectations!
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
Pretty easy to put together (even at 10pm at night!). Holds two adult and a young kids bike very well, very minor movement. Holds steady! Would definitely recommend!

  • Bikes don’t stay snuggly in place.
Color: Right Up 350 Pattern Name: Hitch Rack
Have had this rack for about a year now. I’m disappointed that the bikes don’t stay securely in place going down the road. They don’t appear to be coming off. They’re just all cockeyed after a trip. Have always ensured the Velcro straps are tight and secure, they just always end up cockeyed.
