As others have said, you get a few seconds of really hot water (depending on the setting, of course), but that little bit seems to be sufficient for 90% of my needs at the kitchen sink. After a few seconds (and *not* 2.1 gals-worth), it reverts to whatever temp was in the line, which gradually warms up to water heater temp as it did previously. It was much more a pain in the rear to install than it should have been—I had a lot of trouble stopping the leaks in the connections. I've installed many a faucet and rarely had issues before, but now that I have it, I'm very glad I do. It's so nice to turn on the tap and get instant hot water.

After about a week, started leaking at thread at bottom of pressure valve. Thread tape and putty was used originally. Went to tighten a little more and valve snapped at threads. Very thin aluminum casting. Tried to get a new valve ordered through Amazon but was not available. They suggested return product for refund. Keep in mind threads are British. Adapters must be used when connecting to NPT available on Amazon. Heater worked well for garage utility sink. Connected with PEX lines.

Our kitchen sink is far from the hot water heater. With this mounted under the sink we no longer waste time and water waiting for hot water.

It is working well and for what I needed which is immediate hot water until HW from 30 gal. reaches kitchen sink. ONE issue to share is, I did have an issue with water connection. I ended up going with PVC threaded adapters (2) one at inlet/outlet. Connection from these to supply and faucet was a breeze. Careful on the setting..water will scald you if you set temp to high and don't temper with cold when you turn on faucet. Not an "instantaneous" heater. just supplies HW in an instant...and lasts about...an instant.

Needed a water heater for my vintage travel trailer that could fit into a very small place. This product fit just right. I rotated it 90 degrees and works without a problem; no leaking. Hot water 15mins after turning on and enough hot water to do the dishes for two people.

Needed a smaller on demand type hot water heater for the outdoors kitchen/bar I designed for my husband and I. This was my choice - I haven’t installed yet, but like the plug it into standard outlets - connect water via garden hose configurations. I needed a quick disconnect/reconnect for winter storage. I’ve done a quick test to ensure it was properly functioning - temperature was perfect and the quick test proved disconnect/reconnect would be quick and simple. Plan on installing it in the custom bar which sits next to the custom grill island - both built in California and delivered a couple weeks ago. Photos to be submitted once I’ve finished construction.

Very happy with the product so far, changed the water-heater system on a camper, bypass the original one which was leaking. To hook it up to the existing system, just a couple parts from Home Depot are needed and you are good to go.
