Features

  • Well for 32 Big Fish Tanks -- Better maintain a constant temp for big fish tanks less than 42gal, about 32/80cm, our chiller can reduce water temperature and drop up to 8-10F in general, less water for lower water temp
  • Essential for Hydroponics and Aquarium -- High-efficiency freon free compressor provides more rapid and stable cooling than small fans, using r134a refrigerant, circulating cooling without pollution and do not need to be supplemented. Can well control the ideal water temp at 68-78F/20-26C, necessary for creating healthy roots and a good harvest
  • Keep Your Coral Reef Alive -- Inner pure titanium evaporator ensures that the chiller has effective corrosion resistance while achieving the most effective heat exchange, for both fresh and salt water, can fully meet the sensitive temp needs of your coral farming
  • Fast Heat Dissipation -- Two built-in fans and a large number of heat dissipation holes on both sides of the machine provide powerful ventilation to dissipate compressor heat well, ensuring compressor can work efficiently for all day long. Note there must be a space of 6''/15cm around the chiller for enough air circulation and efficient cooling
  • One Year Warranty -- BAOSHISHAN take the responsibility of one year warranty for this water chiller, please dont worry, professional and friendly after-sales team will help you solve any problem, and you only need to enjoy the convenience it brings

  • Better than I’d hoped
Style: 42GAL
I have a large shrimp tank that was fetter hot in the summer. I wanted something to keep the shrimpers cool and happy. Bought this on a lightning sale and haven’t looked back. Quick version: keeps a thirty-gallon tank cool and consistent at 68-73 degrees, no problem in an 80-degree room. Fan noise is a thing. It isn’t silent. The noise level is about the same as a small window air conditioner. Doesn’t bother me, but a thing to consider. Only makes noise when the fans are on. In my case it pops on about every 30 min for about two minutes. The pics are misleading. The tubing is 1/2 tubing with a pretty powerful power head that pushes water through the system constantly. This creates a powerful outflow. In a 20-50 gallon tank, this will create a whirlpool unless you deflect the outflow stream. I wrapped some course filter material around the outflow and attached it with zip ties, creating a soft dispersed current perfect for the shrimps. The power jet has large open intake vents, anything smaller than a platy is going to get diced and sliced. Guppies, endlers, shrimps, etc will need protection from the suction of death. I used coarse filter material attached with zip ties to cover the vents, which keeps small critters safe while not hurting the flow. When the unit pops on there is a small joint or movement to the unit, it the unit is on the same surface as the aquarium, it may startle or stress out your critters. The unit does not come with suction cups to hold the tubing in place. Trust me, you’ll want suction cups to hold the tubing. The power head will push a lot of water consistently through the tubes. These are thick unwieldy tubes. You can wreck your flooring in a matter of seconds if the outage tube wiggles free of the aquarium. Some said theirs didn’t ship with instructions. Mine came with a guide for setup and settings. Setting the unit temp is pretty easy, but not exactly intuitive. A benefit of this unit is an internal battery that keeps your settings even if the power goes out, worth the extra money! All in all, great product. My shrimps are happy and cool. Has been running for two months without issue. Update: The unit has been working extremely well for the past 4 months. In the summer the unit pops on about every 20 min, I was worried this would overwork the unit, but so far no problems. Has been keeping my 40-gallon tanks at a perfect 73.5 all through the summer. Overall very happy with the unit. As mentioned above, it isn't silent, so take that into consideration. Also, it will heat up a small room....so your fish may be nice and chilly, but the heat removed from the aquarium dispersed from the output fans will heat up a small room. ... show more

  • Quiet, works well, minor cosmetic flaw
Style: 42GAL
It took me some time to set it up because I was jumping back and forth between the instruction manual and the descriptive assembly comment someone else left in their review. I did a test run with a bucket of primed water before adding the pump to the aquarium, just in case there was any internal residue left from the manufacturer. My choice for using primed water also ensured that whatever was left in the chiller from my test run would still be safe to go back into the aquarium. The flow back into the tank is a little more than I would like for my axolotl. I have a sand bottom, and it likes to kick the sand up. I'll be picking up spray bar to help limit that today. Really the only complaint I have at this time is that my branding label is upside down on my chiller. It is something minor and strictly cosmetic, but nonetheless, frustrating for the price I paid. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: 42GAL-W
Set up a 20L aquarium on our screened in deck for raising bettas and didn't even consider that every day the outside temps above 80 degrees (particularly this summer with so many days in the 90s) would adversely raise the aquarium temp. So, quickly bought this and spliced it into the return line from the external filter and it has kept the tank at a solid 79 to 81 degrees. The price isn't overly bad and given the investment in fish and other equipment, this has been the savior of this setup. ... show more

  • Read this for assembly and setup instructions!!
Style: 42GAL
This is a long review, but I want it to be as informative as possible. I spent a LOT of time researching and comparing aquarium chillers, and I couldn't find much online about this product. Purchased to keep my Axolotl cool during the New England spring/summer. I have literally only had this chiller running for 10 minutes and will update my review once I've had some time to see it in use, HOWEVER. I spent embarrassingly too long trying to figure out how to get this thing properly set, so I'm posting exactly what needs to be done during the initial setup to hopefully save someone else some time that I lost. I'll give my initial impressions as well. PROS: -Quiet; Sounds like a mini fridge or quiet bathroom fan while it's running. -Easy to assemble and comes with everything I need to get it started. Other chillers I looked at were more expensive and required separate purchases (pump, hoses) to install. -Packaged very carefully and had no issues with broken/faulty parts. CONS: -As others have mentioned, the instruction manual is garbage. The Amazon product page is more helpful than the manual. -No other cons yet, will add more if I need to later on. To assemble: 1. After unboxing everything, cut the included hose to length/in half for the input and output hoses. 2. Attach one end of one hose to the the included submersible pump, and suction cup to the inside aquarium wall. I attached it to the wall as high up as I could while still fully under water, because I figured that the warm water rises to the top. DO NOT PLUG IN YET. 3. Attach the other end of the pump's hose to either of the ports on the top of the chiller, as well as one of the ends of the second hose you cut, to the second port. The instruction manual does cover this part well so follow that with a screwdriver in hand. 4. Place the second hose's end in the tank for the cool water outlet. 5. Plug in the pump to ensure that the hose connections on the top of the chiller don't leak. If they do leak, you may need to hand tighten the metal hose clamps further with your screwdriver. 6. After ensuring that there are no leaks, attach the chiller cord and power it on, flipping the red switch on the back if the screen doesn't turn on. Setting the temperature: 1. Check the temperature in your tank with a separate thermometer and convert to celsius if needed. 2. Ensuring that the current water temp matches the reading on the chiller: If the temperature listed on the screen is off from the actual water temperature, press and hold the SET button until the screen shows F1. Press the up arrow to show F2, then SET once more to select. Adjust that number to the number of degrees (in celsius) that the chiller is off by. Mine was off by 1.5c. Press RET to save. 3. Set desired water temperature: Press SET once without holding, to set your desired water temperature. For my Axolotl, I set it to 17c (62.6f). Press RET to save. 4. Last step. Set the "kick-on" temperature: Press and hold SET again to show F1 on the screen. Release and press SET again to select. The number you're adjusting here is how many degrees above your desired temperature that you would like the chiller to turn back on. Press RET to save. I set mine to 1.0, which means once the temperature rises 1 degree celsius above my desired temperature, the chiller will turn back on to cool it back down. (For me, setting mine to 17 celsius with a 1 degree kick-on, the chiller will cool the water to 62.6f and turn off, but if the water rises above 64.4f it'll kick back on to cool it back down.) You can set this margin as high or low as you'd like, from what I've seen. In the time it took me to write this post, about 40 minutes, my 20 gallon tank has lowered from 72f to 65f. I'm very pleased with this chiller so far! ... show more
