This umbrella is definitely an upgrade from our last one. It has a rib in the middle of each long side that keeps the corner ribs from coming out of their pockets. Our last one only had corner ribs and they would come out of the pockets whenever you rolled it down making it so you had to partially roll it up and then put the ribs back in their pocket before cranking all the way up. Not ideal to say the least. The color is nice and bright, the crank is a little higher and the chain and pin are a little lower so one can easily stand on the ground to put it through the hole. We had to stand on something to reach the last pin. It was well packaged for shipping, easy to assemble and seems well built. It will give us the shade for our dining set from the morning sun at the end of our patio. A great buy overall.

This larger umbrella is easy to move around and to pick up. The umbrella post is strong, too, and the umbrella crank operates smoothly. But note that this option does NOT HAVE THE TILT MECHANISM. I sacrificed that feature to get a wide umbrella of 8 X 10, and I'm glad I did. I do wish the velcro strap was simply a longer tie strap. The velcro is pretty flimsy so I may have to add a tie-down in the future to secure the umbrella flaps when closed. I bought the aqua/blue, and it works well with my other round teal umbrellas for a large patio.

The media could not be loaded. very nice! the size is perfect for my patio as i wanted something that would cover it mostly and maybe protect my patio decor from the rain. the color is correct, it is white. the crank is east to use and the pole is sturdy. i didn’t like that the pole was brown, i wouldn’t wished for a black or white pole but that’s just personal preference. it functions how it should, takes two seconds to assemble, and so far has held up in the midwestern winds, but I also have a 45 lbs base for it. i haven’t gotten to use it in the rain yet, but i leave it open each night on my patio and haven’t had any issues. i like the tilting feature, as the sun is setting we get full sun on the patio all afternoon and this helps for when it gets unbearable, but there’s only one tilt setting. i figured there’d be a few angles you could adjust it to, it there’s only one, so beware of that. overall it’s perfect for what i needed, i rent my apartment so i cant have any permanent structures and this was a the perfect solution.
