So far so good. This is probably one of the best bang for your buck storage options right now. Especially if you can catch it on sale. It is still working for now but I know referb drives can be hit or miss so your millage may vary.

    • It's great!, look out for short USB cable- too short
I haven't used it much, but it works as expected. Nice to have more room to store stuff. If I moved the USB cable around a lot (it's short), then I wouldn't rely on the little stand it uses- unstable.

just don't, of course, give the hard drive more than one job at a time. let it do one job at time. i gave it a job of 900+ gb transfer - didn't mess with it - did fine. great for replacing your multiple hard drives as you can likely let your old hard drive data from both(or more) hard drives - go into this one. as it may have plenty of room for you. NO, IT IS NOT FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Go to a hard drive data space calculator website and see how much data space you will be getting. ... show more

    • Didn’t function correctly
Did not work at all. Made sure I fixed my settings after reading it could be my computer but still nothing. This cannot be found on my computer. Waste of money and sadly missed my return window is now just sitting there.

Right out of the box .. it was pre formatted and ready to go. I put a few small files on and ran some tests to be sure there were no issues. Everything worked well. So , I backed up several large video files (almost 2tb). Everything went as expected and now adding more to it daily. On average, it transferred about 300gb an hour. Maybe not lightning speed .. but quick enough. I have had slower !! GOOD STUFF .. very happy with purchase .. would definitely buy again !!! ... show more

    • Its quite a bargain for a 12TB drive.
It works well for a backup drive for my Linux PC. It comes with a 12v power supply and a 2' USB-C cable. inside is a Western Digital HGST HUH721212ALE604. SMART data says its new. The company mostly makes drives for XBox systems, but says this one is for Windows PCs.
