Description

The Avalon Electronic 3 Temperature Bottom Loading Water Cooler is made with an innovative design. It offers a choice of 3 water temperatures to choose from. The easy-to-use electronic buttons make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press the button of choice and allow the water to flow from the spout. There is a digital display with a clock as well as digital temperature control allowing you to adjust the hot and cold to your preferred temperature. The machine's highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. The hot faucet is hot enough to cook one's tea or coffee or any other steaming hot beverage at approximately 185° F. The tanks hold 1 liter of hot water and 3.6 liters of cold water. There is a built-in nightlight making the water spout clearly visible in the dark. The dispensing area is 12x3.25x8.75 inches with 7.5 inches of space below the spout. This will accommodate most large cups or bottles. This water cooler is bottom loading with a cabinet to hold 3 or 5 gallon bottles. The water is pumped from the bottle through the machine. We have incorporated a self-clean ozone function which will automatically clean the machine's water tank with the injection of ozone by the press of a switch. The water cooler is UL listed. The dimensions are 13.5x12x41 Inches.

  • I think this is a great water dispenser
Pattern Name: Dispenser
It is a great alternative to those rented coolers your bottle water vendor offers. Reviews seemed to mixed on this unit, but I have nothing but praise for it so far. I admit, I was a little hesitant at first, as several reviews reported shipping damage, and it cannot be returned - however Amazon as well as manufacturer have some superlative Customer Service(manufacturer will replace it, or Amazon will refund if you have issues, they just will not accept a return - likely due to the coolant). But, I hooked it up and it worked fine. My biggest selling point is the Ozone cleaning system. But there is much more to love, as well: the "night light" feature, the empty bottle indicator, the hot water it dispenses, the ease of replacing bottles, the aesthetics of the design (including button indicators), the quiet operation, and overall ease of use. Unpacking is much easier with 2 people, but 1 person *could* handle it, albeit awkwardly. I've not had a single issue(s) as other reviewers reporting (no leaking, no dispensing problems, no sensor problems). ... show more

  • The design is good but the water smells bad
Pattern Name: Dispenser
The smell of the water is too bad. It starts shortly after the purchasing. We changed four bottles so far as per the instruction. The situation remains unchanged. For a new product that we purchased only a couple of months, it is not acceptable. No one in the office is now wiling to drink the water. Don't know what to do now. ... show more

  • After 2.5 Years it Broke
Pattern Name: Dispenser
It was great while it lasted. The manufacturer's warranty is only 1 year and the cold water line kept freezing. I thawed and cleaned to no avail—It's broken. I have no idea how to fix it nor do I have the time to become a repairman. It was a great water dispenser with self cleaning and super cold cold water and piping-hot hot water. It worked flawlessly until it didn't. The quality is FAR superior to the best dispensers you are able to rent from your water distributor. Currently the company we get water from rents water coolers for $20 per month. So, it paid for itself in offset monthly rentals. BUT... I did purchase an extended warranty when I initially bought it. So, for $30 I had 5 years of coverage. When I contacted the warranty company they immediately gave me an Amazon gift certificate within the hour. I purchased a Brio since this one is no longer available at the same price. With the Brio I purchased another 3 year warranty for $35 for it. Moral of the story... buy an extended warranty. It'll pay for itself. ... show more

  • Great looking machine at the right price point.
Pattern Name: Dispenser
Overall, it’s a pretty nice machine. It does what water dispensers are suppose to do. We bought it because it’s the best looking machine on the market in our price point. Buttons are sleek and easy to use, not like those janky office looking machines with the huge clunky buttons. It’s easy to change the bottles also. It runs pretty quiet when it’s heating and cooling the water. My only bother with it is that the compressor rattles when it shuts off, but that’s only because I’m sensitive to sound and it’s in our living room. That probably won’t be an issue with most people. ... show more

  • Great water cooler.
Pattern Name: Dispenser
This is a great water cooler. I have had it for a few months and it’s been working great. Very easy to use and I don’t have to worry about really pushing down on buttons to dispense my water. Bottom loading, easy electronic button dispensing and quiet. The compressor is not loud like other coolers I have owned. The unit cleans the tanks to get rid of any bacteria by pressing one button on the back. That takes about 90 minutes, so I do that once a week at night. It will tell you the bottle is empty by a blinking light on the panel. It also has a water level indicator for the drip tray. It will tell you when to empty if you overfill you're cup. I like the bright light that you can turn on. Lights up the whole area where you are filling up your cup. ... show more

  • Poor cooling, tastes terrible
Pattern Name: Dispenser
What a waste of money this thing was. The temperature of the cold water is bizarrely inconsistent, ranging from slightly below room temperature to ice cold regardless of how much time has passed since its last use. Worse yet, the water tastes awful; even after I flushed the system with scalding hot water and white vinegar, water dispensed from the cold reservoir had a sharply plastic flavor to it that never went away. We're going to just continue using the cooler that our water service is renting us. The Avalon dispenser is expensive garbage. ... show more

  • Okay, but has flaws
Pattern Name: Dispenser
The unit looks attractive and is quiet, however has several problems. 1. The ledge to place the container to fill is both narrow, way, way, way too narrow, and definitely not tall enough. I have to hold my HydroFlax water bottle at an angle. Forget filling any other type of container. The unit was meant to work with a glass or cup. Even a pitcher is too big. 2. The room temperature water comes out a bit slower than the cold water, though both are slow. Do not think anything even resembling a kitchen faucet or even a coffee maker. You have to have patience. 3 (sort of a problem): The unit takes 5-gallon water bottle. It might take a 3-gallon water bottle, but then it would have to be tall and skinny, not short and fat, as the insert into the bottle is a fixed height. 4. Okay, the company manufacturing this appliance obviously never bothered to use their own product. Missing is a visual indicator without having to open the door of how much water is left in the bottle. I also would not mind knowing how much water is in the drip container. This item goes back to my earlier complaint. Filling up a sports water bottle, such as the HydroFlax is an obvious thing. Why only limit to 12oz glasses, and then what a narrow ledge. The hot water is fine, though to make a pitcher of hot tea, I had to fill a pot with hot water and then boil, to really get the two teabags to make tea. The existing temperature is fine for a cup. ... show more

  • 1 year later, almost good buy
Pattern Name: Dispenser
Worked great for 14 months. Well maintained and cleaned. But soon after one year, and warranty expires, no water. And that's fine, things fail, but when they are just over warranty you expect the company to honor the repairs, its just good business. I gave a call to the sellers. Explained the situation. They would not cover parts as 1 year just passed. I explained I try all the trouble shooting and swapped fitting around, but they still insisted it was the fittings that failed. I agreed to get a set of fitting, but I also wanted a new pump as I concluded it was the trouble. I paid for the parts as we still wanted to utilize the product. Considering it was a 400$ investment. As expected, I first tried the new fittings, no help. I did a pump bench test and it was the obvious trouble. I took it all apart and began to install the new pump. Come to find out the new pump was slightly different and the base would not accept the existing screws to remount it. I used self tappers as I needed it back in business for my family. I followed up with customer service that is was in fact the pump so they credited me the 12$ for the fittings that were not needed. It would just have been good business to honor the repair a month after warranty date. And if i didn't insist on ordering a new pump I would have had to waist another couple days for it to arrive. I let them know id have to leave this truthful experience review. Be prepared in one year to get technical and buy some parts. ... show more
