Great quality incubator! This is my first go round with hatching chicks and there are LOTS of options on Amazon. I took a chance and got this one due to price point and I was impressed opening it up with how quality it was! It was also nice that they included instructions and directions on set up and what to do once you get chicken eggs in there. I have had it running for 2.5 days now just in preps for the hatching eggs I ordered and it has maintained temperature and humidity well! So far so good! I’m currently incubating quail. The temperature/humidity setting makes this process so hands free and worry free. It turns the eggs automatically every 2 hours. I also like how the water can be added from the outside so as to not disturb the eggs. Such a great incubator! Highly recommend!

Chicken & Quail Egg Incubator, 12 large Egg Incubator with extra quail bantam egg turning tray. I really love this incubator! It is incredibly easy to use right out of the box and features a very flexible design for controlling humidity, which is crucial for successful hatches. What stands out most is the variety of settings available. I raise a mix of birds, including Siramas (a naturally small ornamental breed), several larger breeds of fancy egg-producing chickens like Americanas, and even some fancy Pigeons. Having a single device that can be customized for such different egg sizes and requirements is a huge plus. It’s a really nice setup that saves space and money compared to buying separate units. I also really appreciate the built-in candling station. It makes monitoring development so much easier without having to move the eggs around too much. Verdict: All in all, this is an excellent choice for hatching small to medium groups of eggs. We managed to hatch 13 chicks the first time and 7 the second time. Then we hatched 2 duck eggs. Some eggs were not fertilized or others did not develop properly. One chick and duck were born with their intestines on the outside and died the next day, but overall 22 successful hatching for our first time is great. It's easy to clean, it fits 12 chicken eggs perfectly but it was small for duck eggs we only fit 6 in at a time. The temp stayed at 100 (F) degrees but the humidity was the hardest thing to maintain. We did mostly a dry incubation and only added a few drops of water until lockdown day otherwise the humidity was out of control even with the vent all the way open. During lock down day, the humidity was better since it could be higher but never fill the water bottles all the way. We left the bottles in without water to keep the hole covered. Overall it's a well made product and would recommend it for a fun activity not for serious hatchers. I did this with my son since he learned how to do it in school. We kept all of the hatchlings. I believe this auto rotated every 2 hours.

Okay, so I had to order a new one because out of the two older ones that I had, one of the lids got lost so I ordered this one. I ordered the normal egg tray and the 30 quail eggs. For the price, I will definitely say that it’s not what I expected, in a good way. It will alert you if the humidity gets too low with an alarm, and I think for the temp too, but I haven’t had that problem. I didn’t read everything before I bought it, but to my surprise, you can actually program it and it stops rotating the eggs three days before the eggs hatch for lockdown. You can set the exact days, which can differ if you’re doing quail, chicken, ducks, or goose. It has done a great job keeping up with the temperature and the humidity. It has great instructions to follow and troubleshooting if you need it. Very durable and sturdy. The size is normal like the other one I have, and they both fit on my kitchen counter. I also want to point out something about the egg candler light. I didn’t use it at first until a couple days ago, but it is super bright and I didn’t expect it to be so bright. The older one that I have, you really just can’t even use the light because it’s so dim. I already had these eggs in before I got this one, but I knew that I had to separate them when the time came. I have three chicken eggs and two duck eggs. When the chicken eggs hatch, that’s when I will put the other duck eggs in, and it will run for an entire cycle. It has a light up display, and there is the option to disable the alarm. I can’t wait for my eggs to hatch, but I do think I will be getting another one of these and get rid of the old one. It also beeps when you push buttons. Short story long: I would definitely recommend. It’s easy to use and definitely worth it. I can’t afford the higher priced ones and got this one to try, and it’s exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this egg incubator to hatch domestic duck eggs. It worked beautifully! However, there were two adjustments to be aware of with duck eggs. 1) Duck eggs are larger than chicken eggs, so the automatic egg turner would not work properly if more than six duck eggs were in the incubator. 2) Duck eggs require more humidity than chicken eggs. Adjusting the humidity for duck eggs took some trial and error. But overall - an excellent little incubator! The value to price was unbeatable!
