I am so pleased with this coop door. It arrived promptly, packed well. So easy to install I had it done in about 30 minutes. I am a 75 year old grandmother. It was much easier than putting the hinges on the coop cleanout door. The setup took 5 miniutes to program. The cable is plenty long enough to put the solar panel where I needed it to get the most sun. One nice feature is that as the sun moves with the seasons and the panel is on a swivel so it can be tilted however you want it to go the get the most exposure. Some people seemed worried about an automatic door smashing their hens when it closes. This one has a feature that won't let a dumb hen get smashed. (Plus I ordered smart chicks) I found out the battery backup works well. There was a fault in the cable from the panel to the door and the cable came off the panel. The seller kindley offered a replacement immediately. During the time until the replacement arrived the door never missed a beat. Up and down every day, right on time. With all the bad reviews I read about solar doors I admit I was worried. No need. This one has been perfect and the seller easy to get hold of, fast response and very satisfactory resolution to the problem. I couldn't be happier with the door and the whole experience. So are the girls! This door was not near as expensive as some of the other ones but works great, very sturdy, not flimsey plastic, great value.

Amazing solar door for the price! Does exactly what it is supposed to do. No fuss, came with a good amount of charge already. I’ve had more problems with more expensive doors. Love the display screen and large solar panel. Update: 8 months after purchase this door is still going strong without even one hiccup! It’s been so reliable, I’ve completely lost any past worries of whether or not my girls would be stuck inside their coop like I dealt with when I had a different solar door. The ONLY problem I’ve had (which is not the fault of the product) is remembering to change the time the door opens/closes for daylight savings as I don’t use the light sensor. This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to come back to a review to update how the product has been working. For the price, my expectations have been blown away, there’s absolutely no reason to buy any other solar powered coop door, the absolute only upgrade I’d like to see would be a WiFi controlled app that I could open/close the door in real time where ever I was. I haven’t seen anything like that on the market, even with more expensive doors. I love the display, fool proof set up, easy to program. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! and so do my girls!!! It’s worked flawlessly throughout the winter and still going strong through the hot summer months.

Like many other similar doors, this one installed and functions just fine. Installation is pretty simple; open the door, trace the inside rectangle, cut and attach. Programming is very easy as well. Now for the not so great. 1. I know this is a foreign-made product but "Chikcen...". I don't have many of those but the chiCKens figured it out. 2. The solar panel attachment is also very flimsy and tightening the single screw started to pull out the metal threaded part. 3. Amazon page says it's a 7w solar panel but product manual says 6w... which is it? Overall, it does its job but I've only had it for a few days. Time will tell if it works long term.

This product works great! The real value here is in the customer service. A small bummer is that a wild animal chewed thru one of the wires but when I reached out for a replacement part this company quickly responded and sent me exactly what I needed. They followed up with me to make sure I was happy & cared for. I truly appreciate this high level of customer service and I strongly recommend this product to others! The product has options, you can set the doors to open & close at day light/dusk or at specific times. My hens are able to safely enjoy their day time space with the security of roosting in their enclosed coop.

Love my chicken door! They did forget to put the instructions in my package, however I did figure it out. Timer was easy to set too. Pretty simple even for an old gal like me. Works great even though my sunlight for the solar isn't the best. Definitely worth the money for me.

I love this thing. My chickens are locked in for the night. It opens up in the morning. I live in Washington. This past couple of weeks, rare sun. But the thing is still working !!!

So far so good. I've had this door installed and running for over a week now. It's on timed open and close and it works flawlessly. The solar panel keeps the battery charged and ready for each door movement. I have no complaints so far and will update if anything changes. I do recommend this door if you want a reliable design and easy to install equipment. The door opens and closes smoothly and keeps our chickens safe and secure as expected.
