I ordered this chicken door to replace my old one which is the manual door. This door is slightly smaller than the door frame. I added some extension wood boards to make this door fit. If you have the right door frame size, the installation work is going to be easy, just use the screws to fix this door on the frame, and there are many pre-drilled holes on the door already. Once this door is properly installed, it is going to be easy to operate. This door is powered by solar and a backup rechargeable battery, so it always has power. I only need to simply use the controller to open or close the door remotely, that makes my life easier.

I never thought I would have a chicken door like this. In my opinion, a chicken door is still an old wood door or just a fence-like door. This door is full of technology, it has two power sources, one is solar based power, as long as the sunlight is there, the door will keep functional; if it happens to be a cloudy day, there is a backup rechargeable battery to keep this door functional. There is a controller that comes with this package, and I can use the controller to open or close the door remotely. This door is definitely a game changer in the farm industry.
