The media could not be loaded. We have had chickens for over ten years and recently had a significant problem with predators. Six months ago, while we were away, something got four of our hens, then something got the others on another trip. We decided to purchase eight pullets and put them in the pen after two months. The following day we discovered we had lost four of them. After all of our safety measures, nothing worked. We decided to purchase this automatic door as a last-ditch effort. The automatic door has been the last piece of the puzzle to secure our hens. I really like the design of this automatic chicken door. It doesn't have the silly light sensor feature (where the door opens when it receives sunlight and closes when there's no sunlight, which can easily trap my poor little chickens outside). Its working principle is simple, and it can be timed according to the chickens' habits. It's very user-friendly. It took me just one minute to fully comprehend it. At first glance, the size seemed a bit small, but after testing it, even my largest hen could easily pass through. The design is extremely well-thought-out. The material of this product is a type of metal, which is completely different from the plastic material of the thirty to forty-dollar products I previously purchased. It is very sturdy and reliable.
