These make plenty of smoke and are worth every penny. For best results, use a mix of pellets (4/5) and small wood chips (1/5). Mix evenly. The chips help with air flow. Store the chips and pellets in a dry place. They absorb moisture over time and the pellets/chips will not stay lighted as well. To keep the tube smoking, I recommend not packing the tube completely full. I fill them 3/4 and then holding them horizontal, lightly shake until there is an even air gap the full length of the tube. Keep your hand over the opening of course while shaking. Smoke from 1 of these tubes is plenty for a 32” grill. I use 2 tubes and there is no shortage of smoke. ... show more

    • Perfect for cold smoking sausages.
I make a lot of sausages and use this product hanging in my drum smoker for the cold smoking before raising the temperature to produce fully cooked items. Cold smoking in the early stages adds a lot more flavour.
